I applied for a job on Careerbuilder, and this is what I got...the whole Costa Coffee thing.
They sent me a check, and want me to send it to a lady in IN. That doesn't make sense to me. Why didn't they just send it directly to her, and by-pass me?
Anyway. I told my "boss" that I wasn't going to send the check without the proper contact information. She cursed at me, and told to just do what I was told (I have all of this in an email). I told her to forget it, and that I didn't work for her.
She threatened me with a letter from the courts (which I told her I would notify my attorney), and now, my question or concern here, is what do I do with the check that I received?
Do I hold on to it?
Do I just tear it up? Do I turn it in to someone?
I need to know what to do to help stop these jerks.
Any advice is welcomed.
