I suggest you scroll down home-page to Email Spam Blockers & Software forum. Open it then click on Top 10 Anti-Spam Measures. This link gives helpful tips. Also in this section is Free E-mail Directory. I chose Yahoo because of their spam filter. Mainly, do not respond to any unsolicited bulk mail.
