Hey everyone!

I need some help and need it fast. Im not a victim of credit card fraud, but my boyfriend is. Earlier this year my boyfriend and I found out, his mom had happend several credit cards in his name that he didnt know about until I found them. We were staying with her at the time while we worked on our house that we bought. When my boyfriend confronted her about them, of course she blamed us and put a guilt trip on him. She said she couldnt afford buying groceries, etc on her own. But the thing was, I never ate there. I was always at work and my boyfriend gave her money numerous times and we would leave her money and she would just give it back to us. Well my boyfriend took the only card he thought she had and we thought it was done with after she would pay it off. So several months later we discovered she opened up three more credit cards in his name. And she now has around $10,000 charged in his name. He has talked to her tons of times and said it wasnt taken care of but yet he never got the cards this time and still hasnt called to cancel them. I know he feels bad because its his mom and his dad hasnt been around but obviously his mom doesnt care enough about him to stop this. He says he isnt putting off cancelling them, but he said he cant find the statements he recently gave her to call and cancel them. she lies to him and says she doesnt still charge, but we keep seeing more and more of her charging things she doesnt need. She was in a car accident 15 years ago and hurt her back and gets disability checks. Her doctor said she is fine to go back to work, but she wont because she says she cant work since she is a heavier woman. So she is just using this as an easy way out. I dont know what to do. because this is affecting my future with my boyfriend. We have a house together that we are planning on selling after its all finished, but his credit is so bad now thanks to her. i have good credit but need his credit also to get a different house. Im not gonna sit around and let her ruin our future. So what should i do since the cards arent in my name? How do I report her? I need some help to get this stopped. i have seen this happen to too many of my friends and family, i cant let it happen to my boyfriend.
