@amandalynddoh, Hello and welcome to 419legal. Your question does not really fall into our area of expertise, so any thing we say can only be guidance, NOT advice, as you would need to consult a financial adviser, who would be able to take into consideration all of your circumstances!

I am a businessman in RL and I would say that you need to consider all the circumstances as they apply to your life and future!
You may find it useful to consult with others who have taken this step? and also to check the validity of any 'grant' or loan!
Any organization who is lending money do so for a reason (usually to get more back) so a careful check of available funds may be a good idea!
I understand that a 'Pell' grant does not have to be re-paid! This could be a help!!
Apart from this any loan will have to be re-paid, so must be investigated first, so that you are clear on exactly what is involved!
If possible it could be an idea to try and have a chat with parents or people who have had experience of 'life' situations' in the world outside of the education system? I hope this helps and sorry that I cannot give clearer help, but I do not know your particular circumstances.
All the very best with your future !
