The website known as planetdvdstore dot com is a scam.

This website seems to be a scam. It advertises on Amazon and Google Ads. It sells TV series on DVD. The funds are transferred, and either nothing is sent, or badly pirated DVDs are sent from China.

The website appears to be still trading, and there is no way to physically contact the site. There is no response to the contact us form being sent. The domain is hidden behind Domains - by - proxy.

There is a thread here about their scams (which I cant post given my low post count)

Regrettably, how do I know it is a scam - I got scammed too, first time ever in my veteran years on the internetz. Just clicked on an ad, ordered some DVDs. The bank should backcharge the credit card, but gees what a hassle!

These so-called domains are all connected to Genreserve Trading LTD., located, 642 Main St., Charlestown, Nevis, looked up "Nevis" and it is in the West Indies. Tel: 1-778-282-8099 - phone number is bull - message about closed for the day call back tomorrow and you can not leave a message. The first time I called it I got a very nasty man who called me a lot of names and said he was going to put my name and information out on a blacklist - NOW you get nothing but a phony message.

Thank you all for the message. I made the same mistake of placing order on this site without checking first of its reliability. Later when I found out it was a scam, I sent emails to cancel the order. Of course, there has been no response to my several emails. As you all know, there was no address or phone number on its website. I then checked my credit card company and found out there was a foreign transaction fee charged to my credit card. I placed a dispute to that with the charge of my DVD order. After talking with the bank staff, I closed that credit card account to prevent any more trouble from this company(if it is really a company).
It has been two weeks and I have not received my DVD set. Meanwhile I received a package from Mainland China via express mail, yet there was no returned address on the package. Imagine: a box sent by International Express Mail without the returned address, only the city name. I suspected it might be the DVD inside, but on the package it did not say anything like that, just listed "Gift". Since I did not know anyone would send me gift from China, I refused to take that package and returned it to the Post Office without opening it.
My advice to anyone in the similar situation? Cancel the order if you can, otherwise just send back any package sent from QingDao, China and call your credit card bank to retrieve the charge.

People,
I too was scammed by PlanetDVDstore. I hope this response isn't too long but bear
with me. When I read the ad for the PlanetDVDStore I like everybody else assumed
the DVDs were legitimate. After I received them and found the containers broken,
disks that wouldn't play and locked up my player I proceeded to try and get my money
back. The first thing I did was try to contact Tech Support. Numerous times I tried to
contact Tech Support and Customer Service. No luck. I contacted my Credit Card service
filed a dispute. What the CC company told me was that as long as I had the disks in my
possession there wasn't much they could do. They said if I returned the disks and the
PlanetDVDstore wouldn't give me a refund they could go after them. Being the obstinate
A'Hole that I am I proceeded to try and find the address of the company that sent me the
disks. After 6 months of searching I finally found it. After finding it I emailed Customer
Service again, knowing that they were receiving my email but not responding, and sent
them the attached email, (PLEASE READ FROM BOTTOM UP). Since I can't post
email addresses you will have to figure out the addresses yourself.

Hello,

Thanks for your e-mail and update.

We appreciate all feedback, both positive and negative.

Please keep in mind an Official DVD Collection has never been released for this series and what you received was a Collectors/Fan Version.

If you are not pleased with your purchase, we offer 2 options:

1. Receive a $160.00 REFUND and KEEP the DVD Collection

-OR-

2. Return the DVD Collection and get a Full Refund (less shipping)

Either way, please reply to us with your order number and your preference, and we will take care of this right away.

Please do not just send the item back, if option 2 is what you pick (we will provide an address for shipment back).

We have very detailed return instructions.

Thanks again for your feedback, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Kathy

The quality is horrible, half the DVDs don’t work, freeze up my DVD player and I’m not into pirated videos.

I’ve sent numerous emails to the support department without response and I have become disgruntled by this

whole process. I just want to rid myself of this problem. So I either want an RMA number or I will send them back without

one.

It took me awhile to find your address but I finally did so I'm returning this junk to you. I don't care who uses it but the Credit Card company told me to send it back with tracking so I can get my money back. Also I'm posting the address on the internet forums to all of the other disgruntled people who want to send back their junk.

================================================== ================================================== =======================

After reading the email I got a response from Customer
Service telling me where to send the disks. I sent them back and the
money has been returned to my CC.
I hope this info will help those who want to pursue this. With this information it
shouldn't take you as long as it did me.
