Default Question about scammers

I keep getting emails and actually a postcard for this Underground cash network to work at home. It's another scam right. I tried to do a search but came up empty handed. Thanks Glad you guys are here. You save people a lot of grief I am sure...Trish

I came up empty-handed, too. Is Underground Cash Network the correct name? It does sound like a job scam. If this company doesn't have an actual place of business - a legitimate address -I'd be very careful. You may be dealing with scammers who send out counterfeit checks (see Received a suspicious check? in Is this fraud?) or a money laundering operation (read Nigerian Criminal Enterprise in General 419 Fraud Discussions).

If you suspect Underground Cash Network is run by a crime organization - typically drug traffickers - contact a FBI office. Go to Federal Bureau of Investigation - Home Page and open the "Contact Us" link. Follow instructions to find a a field office within your state.

Also give www.ripoffreport a try. This website has a vast database. Do a regular Google or Ask.com search as well. Sometimes information about an e-scam crops up that way. Finally, check out Website Tips in General Scam & Spam Discussions to learn how to get the most from this site.

Update 8/11/07:

Underground Cash Network might be a new name because their previous scam was exposed. This may be why there are no matches when you did a "Search." I suggest you post their email into a Thread under the "Is this fraud?" section. I've copied the following information from a Thread in the Lottery Scam Letter Archives.
__________________________________________________ ____________________________________

How to submit a scam letter:

Simply register for membership, which is free. After registering for membership you can log into the website and make posts in our forum.

Simply go to the scam letter archive and click on “New Topic”

Copy the scam letter you have received and paste it into the large message box. As title you can use the name of the scammer, business or lottery as it appears in the scam letter.

Then click submit.

A junior member or 419 volunteer might recognize the scam, though the company name differs. There is another way to go, but it is more time-consuming. Scroll down to Employment Scam Letters Archives, and/or Employment Scam Disussions, then open links in these two forums. You might come across the e-scam there.
