Dear Scammerslammer

Thank you so much for your logical, calm and sincere responce despite of my allegation, especially using word "unfaithful".

To the part of your comment, I will reply to you inline.

Quote:
@Awareriskinc. yes It seems we both posted at almost the same time so did not see each others posts until ours were posted!
Thank you for the words.

Quote:
To answer your question, I have spoken to the owner and cleared the issue of referring to other sites with him, so there is nothing underhand about it at all!
Yes I understand there is nothing underhand, at the same time this kind of information needs to share equally
among the members, since sometimes I wondered how much extent I refer to the website where I got information.
Because in my opinion if someone refers to something, the person should reveal the original.
So I was always in so-called CATCH 22 situation for the reference.
But this is not your problem at all.

Quote:
We are allowed to post links after having posted 50 posts as per the rules!
Yes I notice this point and I never complain to you about the matter.

Quote:
A far as I am aware, the main thrust of 419legal is to inform and educate the public and members about scammers and scams and I am doing my best to do this as are you!
Yes that is true and I recognize you have been doing more than BEST and I can't compete with you.

Quote:
You will have noticed that I have also recommended or linked to other sites as well! such as AA419,and Joeweins site!
I will wait for further notice.

Quote:
Also if you check back, you will see that I have helped victims DIRECT from 419legal and some of them have thanked me ON 419legal as well.
I know this point very well and I have read the thanks comment from some lady.

Quote:
As the role of 419legal is not, as far as I can ascertain, to train members in things like scambaiting,
or working with victims etc, then it makes sense to link to sites that can help them do these things in an effective and safe way!
The fisrt half part of the comment is acceptable, but as far as I understand, if our role is not to train members,
it doesn't make sense to link to the other qualified sites. Because it is not yet approved by Admin by my understanding.
Or is it my misunderstanding?

Quote:
If you check back, you will see that some other members have asked for this to be done on the forum, by either setting up some members on here that have the capabilities to assist members in this regard, or to advice them as to which sites they can get this information from! So this is also a request from other members on 419legal!
Unfortunately I haven't realized there are members having asked this except a few person.

Quote:
As you may know some victims of scams are quite rightly angry and hurt by being scammed out of their money and have a desire to do something about it!
Yes some of them clearly stated their angry and a few want to retaliate against scammers by scambaitng
or the other method at the moment when they recognize being scammed.
I told them to make it a lesson or told them nothing about this.

Quote:
Unless they can find sites that can help them do this safely, they could have a tendency to try and go it alone. this COULD involve them in some type of 'baiting' the scammers by themselves, when the scammers have their personal details! WE DO NOT RECOMMEND this!! so we try and educate them to do things safely!
Yes if they can do it safely, there are not any problems to find. But who can assure the safety
and compensate it when something happens even if they are well trained?
Again I have to revert to the previous point that fundamentarily 419Legal approved the method officially?
And once something happens who is responsible for it? Might be trained members
.
Quote:
This is why I recommend AFI and other sites to them! IF as you suggest, that I am only here to recruit, then why would I spend so much time helping victims ON 419legal?
There are many explanations and interpretations for the reason you stay here for a long time.
But the point is what you have done here could be suspicious of the recruitment despite of your intention in some angle.
We need active, reliable, responsible and respectful leaders as soon as possible in order not to deteriorate this site.
The Leaders should understand "Noblesee Oblige". But this is just my personal opinion.
Repeatedly I would like to express my thank for what you have done mainly and how well you contribute to this site.

Quote:
In My personal opinion, after spending many years on almost all the anti-scam sites, AFI is the best one to help victims and it has, along with The scambaiters.com (also a good site) the best arrest rate of the whole anti-scam community by far! So it is logical to link to them for new members who need further help in these area's!
Yes there is no objection if it is approved by 419Legal.

Quote:
It is also the ONLY site that can do this in many other languages as well, so can relate to members in their own language most of the time! A real asset for people whose first language is not English.
Yes to the point I am now realizing it during preparing reply to you.

Quote:
I hope that this has explained things to you and you may even consider a more active role yourself on some of the other sites as well as on 419legal! Scammerslammer.
Yes your reply is more than what I expected. And recently I begin to be active in some other site.
But a problem is my competence of languages not only for English but MY MOTHER TONGUE as well.

Again I would like to thank you for your reply.

Very best regards

Awareriskinc

Default Helping 419legal

@Awareriskinc, Thank you for your kind words!

Re

I do not see myself as competing with anyone on 419legal.
We are all equal and all have our own idea's and ways of doing things!
I am not better or worse than you or anyone else, just different!
I would like to work WITH members not compete with them!
Everyone has a right to say what he thinks as long as it does not hurt anyone!
Your idea's and thoughts are valuable
On the anti-scam sites I have volunteered to be what we call a 'mentor'
This means one of my responsibilities is to help train new people to work against the scammers and help victims in an effective and SAFE way!

Re your question about safety, as far as I know on ALL the sites over many thousands of baits, there has never been a case of a baiter coming to harm while using the safe methods we teach!

While there is always a slight risk, we take many steps to prevent harm coming to any one we train, For obvious reasons I will not mention any of these methods in a public forum.
You are right about 419legal and we all need to help it grow in a fair and sensible manner. I would like to work with you and others to achieve this . Thank you scammerslammer.

Default Needing further communication

Dear Scammerslammer

Thank you for your reply.

Quote:
I would like to work WITH members not compete with them!
I have same idea and don't want to contend against anyone.
What I meant by "A can't compete with B" is simply "There is no comparison between A and B"
There is no other connotation and nothing related to "competition" or "rivalry" in my usage.
However this might be caused by poor proficiency in my English.

Recently I begin to feel that "419legal.org" (Admin, Mod and active voluntary members)
needs more communication about methods avoiding scam.
There should be various methods which can help build its credibility up.
In due course we will be reviewing its "Raison d'être".

In some way I would also like to work with you and other members.

Again thank you very much for sharing your time with me to communicate.

Sincerely

Awareriskinc
