Default Email Scam: Senegal / Kenya Airways Crash

Here's a scam spam I just received from the following email addresses:
renfaye (at) live.fr
and
renes.faye (at) gmail.com

And here's the fraudulent email:

-------------------------------------

Dear friend,

I wish to use this medium to discuss with you of a great significance
affair that needs immediate attention.
Please for more details, visit the attached file.

Cordially,

Poster's note: I can't post links, but the attached file was a jpeg image that had the following text (verbatim):

Good day Sir/Madam.

I beg your excuse for the inconveniences that this mail may cause to you. It is my sincere desire to relate to you this important business, counting so much on your good sense of understanding, and believing that you will never let me down either now or in future.

My name is Mr Rene Faye, national of Senegal. I am actually working with one of the local Banks here in Abidjan COTE D'IVOIRE. I am the personal accounts manager to a Foreign National who owned a construction company here in Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire). My client, his wife and children were involved in the ill fated Kenya Airways crash in the coasts of Abidjan in 30 January 2000 in which all passengers on board died. Sicne the death of my customer, I have made several inquiries to their supposed embassy to locate any their extended relatives which proved unsuccessful. After several unsuccessful attempts, I took the decision upon myself to solicit your help/partnership.

However, of particular interest is this huge amount of money that the deceased deposit with our bank which has remained unclaimed for quite a long time. Being the personal a/c manager of the deceased's bank account, the bank has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin/or any of the deceased relatives as beneficiary or else the account will be declare unserviceable and therefore be forfeited to the bank treasury. Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over the past 2 years, I hereby seek your consent (with due respect and honour) to present you as the beneficiary so that the proceeds of this outstanding account can be paid to you and then you and I and my colleague will share the money.

This deal is 100% risk free in as much as I am concerned. It is highly confidential and requires someone endowed with the following qualities: Fiscal experience; Transparency; Exposure and Average means of livelihood. Need you be interested, kindly provide me immediately with the following information which I have to introduce in the deceased's account files in way of positioning you as the beneficiary of said funds:

-1- your full name,
-2- your date of birth
-3- resident address.

Your are required as well to provide me with

your direct telephone and Fax numbers through which I can reach you for easy communication.

Rest assured that this deal will be executed under all legitimate arrangement that will protect us from any breach of the law as I am the officer directly in charge of the account wherein the funds has been pending.

I anticipate your understanding and maximum cooperation.

Respectfully yours,

Rene Faye
