Medical Card Scams

Many claim that the discount medical card industry is rife with fraud . It is not uncommon the medical card operators just print out a good looking brochure which details fantastic promises of large saving for a variety of medical procedures. After the medical card operator has collected enough membership fees then the discount card company may get around to drum up a list of doctors and hospitals willing to give lower fees for services.

Of course, you may be one of the lucky ones in which the discount medical card company has actually built up a provider directory before they started soliciting customers. Even so, the medical profession, especially hospitals are notorious for not honoring handshake agreements with upstart medical discount card companies.

But don’t say that you have not been warned. Virtually every local TV news department across the United States has done exposes on this newest consumer scam. How cute, the local TV reporter goes with his cameraman to interview the discount card company owners. The owner many times refuses to be interviewed, and walks to his car in silence as the rambunctious TV reporter asks incriminating questions.
