Buying Fraud in Kijiji

A buying fraud in popular free-classifieds site Kijiji.ca duped a trader in Huron East, Ontario, CA. The victim had placed advertisements in Kijiji offering some merchandise for sale. Unfortunately, it was a fraudster who responded and conned the poor seller out of $2300.
It was a woman who had responded and evinced an interest to the ad.
She said she wanted the item dearly. Said it would make a nice gift for her husband.
A deal was eventually struck for $200 between the two for the item.
A little later, an email arrived from the prospective buyer. She asked the seller to accept a CIBC money order for payment. The money order when it arrived was for $2500 - much more than the price of the item.
Explaining it to be an oversight, she requested him to cash the money order and wire the remaining $2300 to an address in Paris, France.
The victim did as told. His bank later informed him that the money order was a fake. The victim had to repay the bank money sent against the money order.
The victim, in retrospect, mentioned the money order appeared very authentic. He asked other sellers to be more vigilant as the money orders were good enough to fool anyone at first glance.

Hi,
I recently found that my own advert that I listed on a site a year ago has been published by someone on Kijiji site, without my permission. The original site has assured that they NEVER use my listing on other sites. I am worried that someone has accessed to my e-mail account and is trying to use for fraud.
Can anyone help or advice how I can report this. I have not got much information about the suspect, only that the advert was fed from my own e-mail account.
Please help as I do not want to be part of this.

I just received a bank draft (money order) for $2500 for car parts that I was selling on Kijiji for $125. I was curious from the beginning as to what the deal might be…felt scammy, but then when $2500 arrived today in mail, immedately searched online. Will destroy this money order and repost my ad, but now am really aware of the scam. the buyer said he didn’t want me to worry about shipping, so he was going to send me a bank draft with enough to cover the shipping…$2500 for used cars parts seems like a lot!
