Internet Fraud : FBI Warns Against Work -at Home Scams
It is night mare for cyber citizens as common individuals continues to fall victims of cyber crooks .
With this time internet scammers are targeting and luring in the form of employment online and offering work at home which is nothing but Work -at Home Scams itself.
FBI and Internet Crime Compliant Center are flooded with these complaints and same times warns the individuals to be careful while seeking job online or applying online.
Cyber criminal seems to smart to designed such scam misleading the users in order to gain the confidence of job seekers to further market their fake opportunities . Sometimes the victim fail to realize that they are already trapped by this Internet fraud junction .
As Per the latest reports states that scammers gen rally target online payments from the victims,transfer funds or reship the products. Sometimes they also they to be “Mystery Shopper”.
In many of the reported scams, victims are often hired to “process payments,” “transfer funds,” or “reship products.”
However, these scams exploit unwitting employees by having them cash fraudulent checks, transfer illegally obtained funds for the criminals, or receive stolen merchandise and ship it to the criminals.
But often job scams sponsors identity theft because it directly provides opportunity for cyber criminals to hack the victims personal information like credit card details etc.
“Don’t get duped by these criminals offering easy money. Remain skeptical of unsolicited job offers that sound too good to be true and report any scams you might encounter,” said Richard Kolko, FBI National Press Office.
