Insurance Phone Scam Missiles Hispanics in Washington
Internet Fraud Booms as scammers targeting people through insurance company by fake telephonic means . As Security measure is concern Washington Attorney General’s Office sounds alert about this on going phone scams, in which fraudsters are using Spanish language while conversing , and claims to be register agent of company.
Mean while Hispanic residents from Seattle to Yakima have confirmed phone calls from Spanish callers who claim agent of company . Scammers seems smart as they engaged female caller’s in executing this task , as these female callers demand account information in order to process the insurance payments.If user is not available on phone , the callers left the message with phone numbers starting with 800 and 752 area codes.
AS per Woodinville-based insurance company two victims were already targeted by this fraud and same is reported to Attorney General’s Office.
As a,Caution the attorney general’s office is advising consumers to avoid giving their bank account details , Social Security number or other personal information to someone who asks for it by phone, e-mail or text message.
