Text Phishing Scam ramps up ,Iowa residents are latest victims.

As season changes and so are the scamming trends . Of course we are discussing about seasonal cell phone message scammers which are highly making rounds . These mobile fraudsters never stop and certainly wait for new opportunity to strike something new in the form of scams .

Thus a short text message sent between mobile phones or other electronic devices and target ting the victims , this phishing practice is back again in Iowa. Here the text message scammers seems to smart, taking the serious advantage of on going tax filing season , why they should be on backseat ?

While Attorney General Tom Miller cautions his state’s residents that identity thieves ramping again in the mobile world and sending text message to Central Iowa cell-phone users again.

The Short serves message represents financial Firm ,advices potential victims to call a number
and further asks victims to PIN their credit card or ATM Number .

Its a phishing technology in order to gain your personal information, avoid falling to victims and avoid replying such messages warns Miller.

Infact hundred of Central Iowans apparently receiving scam text message and Office is flooded with phone calls from the residents about the text message last week says,Miller.
Cell phone message quotes a Defective English ,stating

“Hello. Thank you for calling our 24-hour security department. To reactivate your card, please press 1. To leave, please press 2.” Consumers who pressed 1 were told: “Please enter your 16-digit card number.”
The 506 area code is in New Brunswick, Canada - a country that is home to a huge number of scams. Miller says his office has alerted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police “Phone Busters” anti-scam operation.
