Don’t Fall Victim To Stimulus Scam ,Warns SBA
Scam can be in any form and in any face . Scammers perform their art and their tricks in very professional way to gain every confidence of victims. As the season changes and so are the scamming, trends in every moments.But how common man is secured in terms of security in this world of scam ,where phishing and identity theft go hand in hand .
At Glance ,Small Business Administrator in U.S are in grip of phishing scam .Scam artists have tried some different fraudulent tactics here . According to U.S Federal Agency fraudsters, have prepared fake letters which appeared on SBA letterhead and these letters were send to many small business across the country .
The fake letter was designed very professionally ,which requests business’s bank name and account number related to federal tax rebates, in order to determine whether the business qualifies for a tax rebate under the Economic Stimulus Act.
Excersing caution , SBA Strictly issues warning , stating that letters are not representing any authentic agency and all small businesses are strongly advised not to respond to them.
As preventive measures SBA issues guidelines ,if anyone who receives such a letter report ,it to the OIG Fraud Line at 800-767-0385, or e-mail at OIGHotline@sba.gov.
