E-mail Scams Still Going Strong ,Warns IRS
Here comes the Tax season or Investment , Email scammers ramping up stage of crime world with more sound confidence before ever . Smart enough to convert every opportunity into scam , now these fraud artists are pretending to be Internal revenue Service representatives ,working hard to steal personal information.
Acting sharply to this move Internal revenue service have warned the tax payers to be beware of the such fake email scam that use IRS Name to trick the people .Scammers are only targeting the gain of personal and financial information thus resulting identity theft .
In one recent example,, an e-mail that reads,”From: Internal Revenue Service [mailto:nonereply@irs.gov],” asks the recipient to fax personal information, including Social Security and passport numbers, to a 1-646 phone number.
According to Luis Garcia ,IRS officials scam e-mails can be reported to phishing@irs.gov ,so that agency can trace the culprits.He also states that Best Defense is Awareness.
