Gmail Service Another Victim of Phishing Scam, Google Reviews the Security.

Another week and another phishing scam. It seems even internet is no longer safer place to share the personal information . This time world’s largest search engine Google is under the grip of phishing scam . Now the scam artists have turned their scamming tactics on search engines ,directly targeting chat accounts in the form of phishing scams .

And the example is Google’s chat account .The scam theory is very simple , here the gmail chats account are targeted by the hackers and once the gmail chat accounts are hacked, these cyber criminals take direct control of chat accounts remotely .

Thus spearing no time, these identity thiefs pumps email message sponsored with tinyurl.com (infected link to a funny video). When user click on the link, they are directed to a website called ViddyHo, which prompts to enter their gmail names and passwords .The website then steals users account information ,further sending out chat messages to all of the user’s contacts .

Mean while Google’s e-mail service was out off service for several hours in early morning.

It seems viddyho.com is also targeting several different chat protocols besides Gmail, including AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger and MySpace. According to blogger Nathan Burke .

On the other other hand as security review and boost ,Google issued an apology and an explanation via its Gmail Blog and already blacklisted ViddyHo.com. In fact Google has block the users sponsoring this links further .
