Consumer need to be viligant about Consumer Scams

As Global melt down continues to rule the economy , in this difficult times of financial crises who would like to get scammed. As part of National Consumer Protection Week in utah, Better Business Bureau is warning the residents about fast spreading scams which can rip out the millions.
A new effort to scam you out of your money comes from different flavors sponsored by the fraudsters .
The Main idea is to target consumers with changing tactics .Consumer scam can be in any form say bank fraud ,credit card fraud ,investment fraud , internet fraud, social security, work at home fraud ,sweeptakes,telephone,text messages ,securities and investment & medical.
An estimated 30 million people in the U.S become victims of fraud each year, while just a fraction of them realize it and make formal complaints.
With the latest trends, identity theft rules the jackpot in terms of crime activities in America. Figures indicate last year was the worst ratio as more than 9 millions Americans were already the victim of identity fraud , therefore consumers need to more vigilant about consumer scams .
While National Consumer Protection Week is designed to pioneer attention to issues and recommendations that arm consumers with knowledge to combat fraud in the purchase of products, materials and services which act as weapon of alertness and awareness.
Director of Utah division of Consumer Protection, Kevin Olsen, mentions that his website www.dcp.utah.gov is to helpful for the people in order to avoid scams.
