John Schiefer Security Consultant Convicted, for Infecting 250,000 Computers.

John Schiefer of Los Angeles, 27 year old computer security consultant has been convicted to four years in federal prison for his alleged role in infecting up to 250,000 computers with malware .
Schiefer, a security consultant, was arrested following the FBI’s Operation investigation and pleaded guilty last year. Officials and Government sources confirmed ,internet crime was desgined and planned in such way to to collect the log on names and steal passwords and execute them to purchases without the consent of victims .
John Schiefer was smart enough to use Botnet (The term associated with malicious softwares called zoombie computers) running software, usually installed via worms, or Trojan horses), thus to infect the computers across the United states .
Apart from this financial fraud ,Schiefer also worked as a consultant with a Dutch Internet advertising company to defraud it with his botnets.
According to Judiary documents, Schiefer targeted both home and Network computers as part of the Identity theft , in which he and his accomplices compromised systems and planted malware that added the machines to their botnet and enabled the cyber criminals to intercept and Hack communications between the systems and various Web sites.
Schiefer faced up to 60 years in prison. One of the eight defendants nabbed in the FBI’s “Operation Bot Roast II” investigation in 2007, he must also pay $19,000 in restitution to PayPal and other companies.
