Beware of New Phone Scam : Credit Union

Phone Scam Artists are back with their Seasoned tactics . While Wisconsin Credit Union League is issuing warning against the latest phone scam . Welcome to the world of phishing”New Face of Social Engineering”in the world of phone scams.

Scam artists have used the crook techniques by sponsoring automated phone calls recording technique , which prompts victims to reveal their personal information , related to banks, thus a wild example of phishing techniques .

The bogus automated phone message reveals that your credit card or debit card has been locked and promptly request the victim to input a card number . After the victims keys the card number , he is easily scammed.

While infact Wisconsin credit unions will never ask for any account information this way.

But on the safe security ,Credit Union National Association has noticed recent unsolicited requests for personal information circulated under the subjects, “Account De-activation,” “Account Status Alert, ” Changes to Terms and Conditions,” and “Irregular Activity.”

Therefore to avoid such phone scam , avoid revealing any personal information on phone. In case verify the details with your financial firm or bank .
Avoid responding to unsolicited emails and avoid opening any email attachment. Be Alert and Be an ware consumer about your financial account statement.
