Better business bureau (BBB) is issuing guide lines against some top seasoned scams which are going strong and consumers really need to avoid , in order to protect themselves .

Starting with down order the mystery-shopper scam is making rounds , where fraudsters sponsors advertisements those who are seeking secret shopper , thus offering cash to check out stores . Here the scam artists send a fake check in thousands dollars and then request the victim to send several hundred dollar back. How smart ?
Next Scam which BBB figured out is the foreclosure-rescue scam . Scam artists are good enough to trick the people by misleading fraud promises to sponsor homes , but infact those are all fraud tactics states Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan.
stimulus-package scam is figuring Number 3 according to BBB , in which scammers are clever enough to take the advantage of economic stimulus plan signed by U. S President Barrack Obama . Scam artists promptly converted this plan as advice stating government grants are available free and they can be easily obtained . Thus scammers used fraud websites to market this scam claiming they can help you get grants to pay your bills or get out of debt.
But infact government does not give grants like that, and the BBB has found that consumers who have turned to these companies often find charges for services on their credit cards.
Credit-repair scams are the most favorites and figuring number 2 on the BBB’s top list. The scam promised to raise your credit score or erase bad debt for a price.
Number one scam to avoid as BBB’s Top list is debt-negotiation scam where companies claim they will get you out of debt and lower an upfront fee. This is most dangerous scam because company can defraud you easily by taking money and winding up . Such scam rackets always operate from far behind , and hard to trace.
