Mona Vie and Acai Berry Scams-Scams for the health conscious!!

Most of us know that the mona vie scam and the acai berry scam are related to one another. Many know mona vie as a nutritional health drink often recommended by celebrities.
Mona vie is a health drink which is a blend of nutritional fruits and berries. The prized ingredient being the Acai berry. Acai berry is a type of berry found in the Amazon forests.
The ‘hard-to-find’ ingredients and the promotion of the products by some of the celebrities have resulted in the high price of the MonaVie drink.
The scam part in this health product can be in various forms, the most common being the MLM scams.
Scammers have also selected a particular group of people for making money out of the mona vie scam.
There are two possible suspects of the Mona Vie.
First, many agree that any antioxidant is beneficial for a person but Mona Vie claims to provide much more that serving as an antioxidant. Improvement in cardiovascular health and joint functions are some of the big promises that mona vie manufacturers and sellers claim. Although what the sellers and manufacturers of mona vie claim, cannot be ruled as a flat out lie but the swelled benefits of this health drink does make one think about the claims.
Again if the product is being bought through an MLM scheme, one has to purchase atleast 4 bottles a month whether or not one is able to sell them.
The second part of the suspect is the fact that the drink costs between $30 to $40 for a ~26 oz. Bottle. One is required to take a total of 3 oz in a day (morning and evening). If the math is done it clearly means that this ‘health drink’ would cost between $120 to $160 a month and would further mean a yearly expense of $1400 to $1500.
Spending or ‘investing’ this amount of money on a health drink when the same benefits can be procured at a much cheaper cost, is bound to raise some eyebrows.

    Monavie Compensation Plan:

I don’t know if I would go as far as to call it a scam. I do agree, the fact of the matter is there are a number of Acai berry products that cost less than Monavie. Then again, there are plenty of places where you can get cheaper coffee than Starbucks too!
