Every day millions of online transactions takes place . We know Internet is the best source and resource which provides more fast and easy way to conduct any business. But as the end user of all such service it is better to ask million dollar question to yourself , that how safe online banking would help us to avoid costly frauds, resulting heavy financial losses ?

The answer is simple we should know and practice the safe online banking practice. Here are some of the tips :

1.Confirm online bank is in accordance with established rules, principles, or standards. Make sure that your deposits are federally insured.

2.Make sure confirmation that bank has it’s own website where you can locate the brief history of bank,official name,address of its headquarters,and information coverage from FDIC.

3.Avoid Fraudulent websites, must watch out those fake websites which uses not same name web address, which sounds and looks just like real financial institution . This is nothing but fraud process design to invite click on their websites and they will ask for your personal information .

4.Do not forget to verify a Bank’s insurance status, look for the familiar FDIC logo or the words “Member FDIC” or “FDIC Insured” on the Web site.

5.Try to learn what are the privacy policy after becoming a customer ,This can also be confirmed from banks website.

6.Always secure your transaction over internet , as it is connects you world wide web, there fore it always important that personal information like credit card numbers,social security number should not be provided.

7.If accessing network from public place, try to make sure that your browser history is clear. Never to click remember passwords or user name while dealing with any web base accounts .

8.Alway use tricky passwords , as lose passwords are easy to guess and break by hackers. Avoid using your birth dates, or your names as passwords.Make sure they are unique and changed at regular intervals.

9.Ensure your browser updates are regular and antivirus is also updated with all security updates .
