Default Receiving Cell Phone delivery scam???

I work with a guy who is offering me $150 to let him send a cell phone to my home address. All I have to do is sign for it and turn it over to him. Actually, he told me and several others that he will take as many addresses as we can give him, and for every phone he gets we get $150. I believe the phones get delivered by Fedex or UPS. I have heard rumors that some people have already done this and received large amounts of cash form this guy. He says its all legal. Im sure its not, but cant figure out how this scam works. Its a very tempting offer to the minimum wage workers at my workplace. Anyone ever hear of something like this?

Dear lew_cyphier

Welcome to 419Legal and thank you for your post and info.

The info is worth looking into.
The cell phone could be utilized for the communication with victims to be.
So once if it turned out to be used in some fraud, the registrant could be suspected in the ring of the fraudulence.
It would be better for you to stay away with it.
Even if "it is a very tempting offer to the minimum wage workers at my workplace", beware of the kinda easy money.

You can buy full Credit card information on the internet for as little as 50c
The only problem,is when you buy goods over the internet with a stolen credit card, you need said goods delivered to an address.
Instead of heving these goods sent to a traceable address, internet criminals send them to the address of unwitting acomplaces.(ie you)

when law enforcment get involved,it is your name and address that is last in the chain.

You wouldnt let a stranger get a bank loan out in your name ....would you?
