A friend of mine was all fired up about the 360 site even after showing him all the online forums about this big scam. And I've been following this one for a while. Well about 5 days after the site went up he bought one and then the next day he canceled his credit card. Well they charged him twice sent him all this confrimation junk and a supposed tracking number. I was kind of surprised to hear of people only talking about them only getting charged once. I guess his deal was just unlucky. Of course he won't recieve anything, but what steps does should he take now?

I usually research things before I buy them, but not today, then after thinking how unbelievable 34.99 for a PS3 was, and most refurbished ones costing around 200-250 dollars I decided to research the website and found a lot of unhappy
and people, so I immediately decided to cancel the credit card. Luckily the payment was only authorized and had not went through they stopped it and eliminated my account. I hope we can get the word out and get them shutdown. The thing that is weird to me is why they didn't sell it at a price that was really good but not questionable like 99.99 or 149.99. But I guess either way they almost got me. Do they ever catch up with these scam guys or do they just get away. Stef

Well like everyone else I guess I've been scammed too. I bought the ps3 on 7/28/08 and have been kinda skeptical about it because it was so cheap and find this site after I did some research. But when I put in the confirmation number it works, So I don't know what to expect yet. Hopefully they don't take out anymore money. I'm kinda pissed off because I really wanted it and like others have said "Too good to be true." Hopefully everyone and me get their money back.

Well, i guess i got lucky. I just got off the phone with my credit card company and they were more than happy to refund my money, and they will try to contact the scammers themselves. I suggest just calling your card companies and tell them your story. The lady i spoke with had already heard about this scam and said it happens often. At least we can get our $34.99 back and spend it on beer so we can forget about this whole nightmare!

I've posted quite a bit of info about this scam at my forum, too -- some of the same information posted here, but some that hasn't been.
www . prowler-pro . com / forum / viewtopic.php ? f=9 & t=466 (I'm not allowed to post links, so I had to fake it - sorry) My city's District Attorney's office called me a bit ago, regarding a complaint I filed with the Internet Crimes department. I called back and left a message, but I don't know much else yet. |

OK as it seems this guy doesn't care, and is under the impression that no one else does either. Well it's time he does. As I said before I got more that enough to prove a civil or criminal case but am finding it hard to get help. If anyone has a lawyer that wants to do a class action or can actually get ahold of a class action firm let me know. re.puter (at) gmail.com If you anyone wants more info, contact me. I have already contacted almost every 3 letter agency and he knows, but does not care. If all else fails I may have to call Springer. If someone can get a hold of an attorney or if someone could please try let me know. I will be glad to help with the evidence.
