Exclamation Need advice - Please Read!

Recently, I have signed a contract to work for a company called Worldtrans Aeroship (I believe I must have found them thru Craigslist - I was searching very heavily on many sites, however). They are located in Denmark or Sweden with an office in Russia as well, according to the website. I did some basic searches, and could not find anything about them beyond they were a shipping company in the Denmark area. (I did not see anything bad about them, so took it as a good sign) (BBB = no record)
I did not have to pay any money for the opp., also took as a good sign.
I was to receive parcels, open, check for damage, then repack, report and send them on to their destination. OK. (I have mystery shopped, so I am well aquainted w/ QC (that's 'quality control').
I have a package right now that has a $2000 product in it and my instructions were to "destroy the packing slip and the mailing label to protect the buying agents' information" (I had to sign for the pkg. tho it was not my name on it) and a new mailing label arrived in my email - it is to be sent to Russia. A second parcel has arrived (from the same company as the first, so I'm sure just as valuable - it sits here, unopened as yet.).
I am in a dilema - I seriously need the money this job would provide, but I question the ethics... Am I being used as a virtual "fence" or have I been reading way too many Sherlock Holmes books? (BTW, local Police Dept. officer says it sounds like it might be fraudulent, but didn't know for sure. Did not seem overly interested in the situation. (!! !!) Asked for someone to give advice at P.O. but the Postmaster works at the other branch, the supervisor on duty was not otherwise interested. Have not been able to contact Postmaster yet ) Any other opinions???

Cool

The story smells very bad.
You just gave the solution in your post "" Am I being used as a virtual "fence" "".

Craigslist is the worst credential to find a legal job. They seem to be involved in any fraud schemme.
If you do not want to post here send me by private message the company's name, names of your contacts, clients name (final receipt of goods) and I shall search about them and answer by the same way.

Default Worldtrans Aeroship

I was almost to the point of faxing the employment agreement back to WorldTrans Aeroship until I read the post about them.
Any additional info you may have on them would be greatly appreciated.

As and previous case the resault is the following:

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, HaridwarSWEDEN, WORLDTRANS AEROSHIP AS LUFTHAVNSVEI 27A DK-7190 BILLUND DENMARK . 4570267062, 4570267063, MR.MICHAEL COLBEARG email:michael.colborg@aeroship.dk ...
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Haridwar - 35k - Cached - Similar pages

The company is a legal company but I am afraid that you have never contact direct with them. I supose that your contact also is a lady who uses a free mail from a dating club, and she? is scam trying to get your info.
If you can post here any mail from her (with full headers) I may answer where the mail comes from.
I am sure that Worldtrans has no idea that a scam is using their firm trying to scam you.

I will post all the correspondence via email with them.
I am also registered as a member on their website, which looks to be legit.
