I would be very cautious when you receive these kind of spam emails about working and earning money from home.

I have been receiving emails from overseas asking me if I can help them exchange monies from their country to us in the USA. This time I enformed them through email that my husband works for the FBI and CIA and if they continue to send emails to request any type of money sanctions or have money deposited to a bank here in the US they will be prosecuted.

I have been working on the Internet for many years and it seems to be getting worst day by day. There are no good home based jobs out there unless you pay them first and that is where the scam is. They collect your money and run like hell. So be very leary and careful.

It is actually indeed a scam. I recieved the same e-mail a while ago (in fact I think it posted it in this forum). I did research on it, like I do with most things and it is a scam. Most of the time you can tell it is a scam with out even doing research. But I do for those who really want to know or just to make sure. But, it is a scam so I wouldn't even deal with that "company".

Default Costa Coffee Scam

I received the following email several weeks ago. After I responded to this email, I never thought about it again. Yesterday I received three money orders for $950 each in the mail. After doing a GOOGLE search on the company and this guy I am now aware that it was a scam. I didn't provide any bank information, but did provide my home address.Well now this freak has my address and I am a little nervous as to what to do. Suggestions anyone?? What U.S. Authority do I contact to nail this guy?

Hello ,

My name is Dean John and am the Employment Manager of Costa Coffee, a
quality coffee company based in the United Kingdom. the company has been
setup
in Lambeth, London since 1971, supplying all local caterers, major Italian
and American coffee shops and around the world, with an exciting coffee,
slow-roasted the Italian way.

People couldn’t get enough of it and by 1978 thefirst Costa espresso bar
opened in
Vauxhall Bridge Road in London. To this day we still use the same method
of slow-roasting
our coffee beans, serving the brothers’ authentic blend of 6 Arabica beans
to 1 Robusta in 500
coffee shops all over the world.

The company is always facing serious difficulties when it comes to selling
our products to Americans
because they are always offering to pay with US MONEY ORDERS and US CHECKS
which is difficult
for us to cash here in the UK since the last person that represents us in
the US has just fallen sick and
cannot continue the job.

We are looking for a representative in the United States who will be
working for the company as a
Part-Time Representative/Bookkeeper and we'll be willing to pay 10% for
every transaction, of course
it would'nt affect ur present state of work because you may do it as a
PART-TIME work, all we need is
just someone who would help us recieve payments from our customers in the
states. i mean someone that
is responsible and reliable, cause the cost of coming to the states and
getting payments is very expensive
so for now we need a representative in the United State who will be
handling the payment aspect.

These payments are in US Money Orders/Checks and they would come to you in
your name, so all you need
do is cash the money orders and checks, deduct your percentage(10%) and
wire the rest back.
It wouldnt cost you any amount, you are to receive payments which will be
mailed to you by post from my
business patners, which would come in form of Money Orders or Checks then
you are to cash it and send the
cash to me via western union money transfer all western union charges
will be deducted from the money.

If you are interested, please fill up the form below and get back to me
as soon as possible.
Endeavour to send your reply through my e-mail address.

NB: If you are interested do not hestitate to fill up the form attached
below and get it back to me ASAP.

Regards,
Dean John.

I just got one. I think they may have gotten my email from Craigs List:

Dear Friend ,

My name is Nelson Clark and i just came about your email address through an online email listing.I am the Employment Manager of Costa Coffee,a quality coffee company based in the United Kingdom. the company has been setup in Lambeth, London since 1971, supplying all local caterers, major Italian and American coffee shops and around the world, with an exciting coffee, slow-roasted the Italian way. People couldn’t getenough of it and by 1978 the first Costa espresso bar opened in Vauxhall Bridge Road in London. To this day we still use the same method of slow-roasting our coffee beans, serving the brothers’ authentic blend of 6 Arabica beans to 1 Robusta in 500 coffee shops all over the world.

You can check out our website at : Costa Coffee

The company is always facing serious difficulties when it comes to selling our products to Americans/Canada because they are always offering to pay with US MONEY ORDERS and US CHECKS which is difficult for us to cash here in the UK since the last person that represents us in the US has just fallen sick and cannot continue the job.

We are looking for a representative in the United States who will be working for the company as a Part-Time Representative/Bookkeeper and we'll be willing to pay 10% for every transaction, of course it would'nt affect ur present state of work because you may do it as a PART-TIME work, all we need is just someone who would help us recieve payments from our customers in the states.

i mean someone that is responsible and reliable, cause the cost of coming to the states and getting payments is very expensive so for now we need a representative in the United State who will be handling the payment aspect.

Note that your duty is to serve as a middle man between us and our customers in this sense that after you receive any payment in form of Checks/Money Orders, you will convert it into cash deduct your 10% and forward the remaining balance to us via our instructions and the transfercharges will be deducted from the company's funds.

Default Costa Coffee Scam

Hi i just received $3000 worth of WAL*Mart money orders today....here is the email I received from Costa Coffee.

THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT ONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS HAS ISSUED OUT PAYMENT IN YOUR FAVOR IN THE FORM OF AN INSTANT PAYOUT MONEY ORDER THROUGH (UPS POSTAL MAIL).

YOU ARE KINDLY ADVISE TO TRACK IT USING THE BELOW TRACKING NUMBER: (xxxxx)

NOTE THAT IT WILL ARRIVE YOUR ADDRESS TODAY THE OF 31st JULY, 2007.

We are presently having problem getting raw materials from my clients in Asia, we no longer get from there, due to inflation of prices..so we sent two of our purchasing officers to West Africa, cause we were told African Materials comes in cheap prices.

But we are having problems with the government there ,exportation of goods from Africa to Europe is really hard..some of our goods are grounded and need to be released based on some certain amount to be paid to them..

sending the money to us here in London would be a waste of time, since we are still gonna send some funds to the clients in Africa...so , please send the money to our purchasing officers in Africa in order for them to pay up the money needed to get the goods cleared. As soon as you receive the INSTANT PAYOUT MONEY ORDER, go to your Bank and cash it out then Proceed to a nearest MONEY GRAM OR WESTERN UNION POINT. Deduct your 10% from the funds Then wire the remaining to the below information.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE BELOW INFORMATION CAREFULLY:

THIS IS THE PAYMENT DETAILS BELOW:

1) RECEIVER'S NAME: OGHENE ESE
RECEIVER'S ADDRESS: NO 9 GLOVER RD. IKOYI
LAGOS NIGERIA
TEST QUESTION: FAVORITE COLOUR
ANSWER: WHITE
MONEY TRANSFER NUMBER ...............
AMOUNT SENT .......................

Please email MTCN digits as soon as you have sent the funds to the information above, so it can be used to purchase some materials. Deduct your 10% from the money before you send the Funds. Make sure the transfer fee is deducted from the company's available fund.

WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM YOU AFTER SENDING THE MONEY:

1.NAME OF SENDER
2.CITY
3.STATE
4.MTCN NUMBERS(10DIGIT)
5.AMOUNT SENT

Reconfirm by return email that you received the above message

Sincerely Yours,

James Williams
