The post by sandyMK does NOT reassure me and makes me concerned, the poster says:
[quote]And their brand name very abundant,like Ipod(apple),sony,samsung,Ibm,toshiba,ASUSTeK,Motor ola,nokia,TCL,lenovo,philips,panasonic,louis vuitton,lancome sony
ericsson,giordano,gucci,dell,sandisk,kingston and so on.[/QUOTE

Are we to believe then, that the company www. guestion, com is an honest company and has the rights and permission from these brand name companies to sell their products as a genuine agent?
I think that a call to these brand name companies may show a different picture! it is highly unusual for ONE outlet to have the agency to wholesale ALL these brand names and goods?

Hi everyone,
I'm new in the forum but I am an experienced importer from companies such as dhgate, tradetang and the likes. Here is the best advice I can give you from my dealings.
1. Always follow protocol by paying with a credit card through paypal. with these sites also using escrow that's 3 organisations offering you some sort of protection.
2. Always contact the supplier by phone, not just email.
3. When requesting authenticity of products, Always get it in writting (hardcopy or electronic).
4.Always have business contracts drawn up covering business dealings such as who's at fault if product seized by customs, return polocies etc (hardcopy only).
5. Always start new dealings with a sample order.
6. Always check order thoroughly before oking payment.
7. Always report fraudulant activities immediately and NEVER lose your cool.
8. Any legitimate business will be more than happy to operate with you along these lines, it's only the scammers that will refuse.

I've also noticed alot of posts stating that all of the goods on these sites are fake. These are uneducated statements. Although you will find many fake reproductions of products on these sites, I guarentee you will find just as many real products aswell and here is why.
When a brand name company orders a product to be manufactured in asia the manufacturer generally doubles the amount of materials needed to produce that order. The extra materials ordered are costed into the manufacturers price they are charging the brand name (ie the brand name is paying for them). The manufacturer produces twice the amount of product in the manufacturing run. Half of the run is shipped to the brand name. The other half is purchased by a number of different "wholesalers" in asia (this is called the blackmarket). These wholesalers are found on such sites as dhgate, etc. These products are made by the same manufacturers, in the same factories, by the same workers as the brand names. They are sold so cheaply because a. These are the actual prices these brand names pay and b. it cost less to produce because tha brand name paid for the materials (the manufacturer doesn't care if a brand name pays him $1/unit or a wholesaler pays him $1/unit, a $1 is stil a $1.
These products are not fakes they are unauthorised.
I know alot of you will say it's still wrong but who are the real crooks? Brand names paying less than $1/unit and stocking it in stores for $100+ or the unauthorised seller paying a "wholesaler" $1.50/unit and stocking it for $50.

I did the same thing with alibaba.com. I was told I was going to get 10 Nikon D40X for $2000 Australian dollars. I paid with western union. I never got the Nikons but here is what really scared me. I was harrased for months over the phone. The so called company with the nikons, kept ringing me and telling me that there is a problem with the air port letting in my products, I paid another $1000 to solve this problem. Still no cameras. He kept calling me, every couple of days. Asking for more money. I ended up yelling over the phone, " i'm not giving you any more money ". The police station I called would not help me. Evenually he stopped calling but I lost $3000 ( stupid of me i know ) and I almost lost my husband over it. Luckly for me he loves me more than words can say.

Morel of the story is : Don't ever use western union for overseas buying.
Always insist on Paypal that way the money can be tracked. Or overseas money transfer from your bank.

Goes without saying: I am much more wiser now.

PS: if anyone know of any real dropshippers here in Australia please let me know.

Default d h gate con

hi i must admit i fell for this scam big time ordered 20 ipods to sell on ebay to be honest i knew they were copies but didnt realise how much trouble & money they cost me in the end, sold all in 1 day was very chuffed with that then within 2 days the emails demanding money started flooding in so obviously had to fully refund only had a couple of negative feedbacks
but it doesnt end there the genuine "diamond" jewellry looked fantastic & the prices were to good to be true & it was
diamonds were plastic ,gold was tin, it was that bad that i wouldnt embarass myself selling it
wouldnt mind but i did a bit of research on various items by finding identical items on sites like ebay & also the completed listings which made me come to the conclusion that those sellers sourced from dhgate , i thought id found a little gold mine
HOW WRONG CAN ONE PERSON BE
its just used to give as gifts to friends kids

Dhgate is just another breeding place for scammers. I purchased Nokia phones from a seller with okay feedback. The phones were listed as new with 2g cards included. I received phones that will not power up. Chargers that did not work and no cards. I I opened a dispute immediately. The seller offered me a $40 refund. I paid $324.90.
I got no where with Dhgate. I then opened a dispute with Paypal. They declined my claim. Said they only refund on merchandise not received. Not on defective or low quality product. Yet they claim they protect their members. Don't believe any of this crap. On Dhgate they boast that they are "Paypals largest client in Asia". I guess that tells you why they declined my claim. Pretty much they are in bed with DHGATE. If you are smart stay as far away from DHGATE as you can.

BE AWARE
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM DHGATE AND USE YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT i Purchased phones from a seller which had okay feedback. The phones were listed as new in original box with 2g memory cards. I received used phones in badly damaged boxes, without memory cards and chargers that did not work. I had to buy a charger to try to get the phones to power up. With no luck. I opened a dispute with DHGATE immediately. The seller offered me a refund of $40. I paid $324.90. What a rip off. I then opened a claim with Paypal. They declined to help me. They said they only refund on merchandise not received. If they are not as described or defective your just "SOL". Dhgate has done nothing in as much as protecting their buyers as they claim to do....IF YOU ARE SMART YOU WILL STAY FAR AWAY FROM DHGATE AND WEBSITE LIKE IT (ALIBABA ETC.)

"These products are not fakes they are unauthorised."

I was given DHGate by Ebay power sellers.
I had no idea there was such a thing as unauthorised or fake items.
Someone said look in their feedback. One of the highest star ratings on DHGate with excellent feedback was still selling to Ebay sellers to sell on Ebay, they were still illegal to sell in Aus. So there are a large number of ebay sellers in Aus that are aware they are illegal and sell at larger prices to make large profits on Ebay and allowed to do so by Ebay.
I had an email from Ebay telling me that it was okay to sell copies if i gave them my bank account details.
Over two years i had been watching and trying to bid on one brand name of clothing without realising that most that is sold on ebay is mostly unauthorised and illegal to sell.
I started selling very good quality items on Ebay without knowing they were illegal. Unfortunately these other Ebay Power sellers selling what i was selling at much higher prices than I was put in a violation, so i had my account suspended. I was kept being told by DHgate Ebay power sellers that their products are okay to sell on Ebay and that they have many from Aus buying from them to sell on Ebay.

I wasn't out to make a high profit. As the HGate sellers in China sell to us at very good prices. I was trying to do the same.

I thoroughly agree with you, that brand name companies sell clothing in stores at very high prices at the expense of the chinese.

It's still illegal though.

I'm still getting those companies that have Ebay Power sellers helping sellers, that send us emails telling us where we can buy from with DHGate on top of their list. So I don't blame DHGate. Ebay is just as much responsible for selling illegal items on Ebay. They reap the profits from these illegal items. The rival sellers who put in the violation on what i was selling from DHgate, were actually selling illegal items exactly the same at a higher price and were not taken down by Ebay.

Recently on DHGate i saw a brand name item being sold. He gave a list of what to lookout for with fake copies of brands.
Even if this man was selling unautherised brand names, made from the same factories as these brand names using the same material, if i went to sell any of them on Ebay I would still get my Ebay Account suspended.

To import them through customs, it's still considered illegal.

There are some lovely sellers On DHGate who sell wonderful products, it's just a shame they are all illegal if they happen to have a brand name.

I was looking at one brand name's Billions of profit for the year.

It really depends on how much they put in their own pockets.
Crooks can still make a clear $40 profit off each item, while other's have taxes, GST, employees, leases, electricity etc. to pay for so the profit may only be minimal.

Dh gate is a company that makes copies of orginals when you order from them some of them are good copies some are bad do not order any mp4 players from "gigi" or jacky_chan because they will tell you they are selling 8gb mp4players when they are only 1 gb. I ordered from both and put in a dispute with dhgate with gigi i sent back 15 of the 21 i ordered they said they never got them with jacky_chan i orderded 5 which he said were 8gb which were only 1gb .i sent them back and he said they never got them.do not order from these people . Also even if you do order from dhgate make sure that you send everything back with a tracking number but it will still not guarantee that they will pay you back
