Cool DHgate

Hi All,

In regards to people complaining about DHgate, in which i have been using fo several years now, mainly for cheaper items for family etc, and for some eBaying etc WAKE UP BUYERS - to all of you who think your going to get a Original Brand Name Product, such as Nike, Harley Davidson, D&G, Rolex, designer handbags that you get delivered for $50.00 and cost $2500 in milan Italy at a bargain price, and then resell and make a small fortune on, its simply, WAKE UP it ain't going to happen ! All these products are good copys, some are poor quality and some stuff is excellent reproduction, its the old saying if it sounds to good to be true, it always is ! So to all who buy thinking its original mechandise, think again ! Only use PayPal is my advice for payments, as there is protection against fraud and if a item doesn't arrive, which i have not experienced yet, but PayPal has to refund as the buyer and seller has to be registered with PayPal and its PayPal's duty to make sure account holders are genuine etc ! But as i've said there's a lot of great products on these sites, i like my $50 Nike's, better than $180 etc This is the same with all the other bargain china sites, the sites even look identical except the name for eg: pages are set up the same, selection menu's etc, and so on, eBay's the same, full of china products, ask yourself one question, if i can buy a D&G Handbag for $100 on eBay knowing that they cost $1500-$2500 or more, do you really think the $100 Handbag is Authentic, don't cry when you find out the bargin you bought isn't, as i said before, WAKE UP.

HAPPY SHOPPING - BUYER BEWARE

But now they send me an email saying the funds are being release to the seller. THAT IS OUTRIGHT STEALING AND LARCENDY AFTER TRUST! I DID EVERYTHING THEY TOLD ME. I SENT PICTURES AND CONFIRMATION NUMBER TO TRACK THE PACKAGE BACK TO SELLER. AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY MONEY. THANK GOD I USED PAY PAL AND AMERICAN EXPRESS! And the button they say at the end of the dispute page to Submit to Dhgate NEVER
came up! I kept looking for it. So I had to send them e-mail by yahoo.

DHGATE IS JUST A MEANS FOR PEOPLE IN CHINA TO STEAL--GLOBALLY!

Did you ever get your refund? I can't even get dhgate.com "customer support" to email me back. You situation sounds like the situation I am in now. I am furious!

Angry DHGate wholesalers-China-on-line trading

Hello I'm Maureen from Australia

I have bought a few orders from DHGate. The goods have been OK-but not great.

Until recently. My last order was for 3 articles from three separate suppliers. Two orders arrived the third did not. Have not been able to Dispute with supplier because his 'page' won't accept it. E-mailed DHgate they said deal with supplier. So, it goes back 'n' forth.

Have contacted Paypal they are no better.

I have : A. Written to Australia Bank-stopped all payments
B: Registered Complaint with Dept of Fair Trading-can do nothing
C: Written to Paypal- no reply
D: Written to DHGate- warning them Web-Page complaints are growing.

I would not trade again.

It is too risky. When they get a big order thats when your money disappears.

Default Possible new DHGATE seller scam

Im not sure if this is a new DHGATE scam the sellers are trying or not.Me and my friend buy DVD boxsets off DHGATE and resell them on Ebay.My friend bought a boxset off a seller named Zidian(i think this is how you spell it).We both have had good luck with this seller for 1+years.So what happend is my friend placed a order off the DHGATE site via Paypal with Zidian and got the tracking # and after about a week did a track and it said address not known. So he emails Zidian and he says he is gonna reship items. He sends my friend a pic of the address lable and it looked perfect. Then what do you know the package gets sent back to the sender for delivery attempt failed.According to the tracking # the item never made it out of NY.So my friend files a dispute and DHGATE says send proof. He sends tracking info in and the only notices he gets from DHGATE is X amount of days to reply to dispute, but on the DHGATE site there is nowere that he can respond to the dispute. He tried emailing DHGATE but got no responce. So since he didnt respond DHGATE released funds to seller. So the seller got $600.00 - shipping cost plus he got his product back to resell.

Cool

OK , I have been buying off DHGate for a few years now and have never had a problem with anything I have bought.
I buy for personal and family use , but mostly to resell.
Obviously the Nike shoes , brand name shirts etc are all copies but the ones I have bought for my own use are good quality and I don't have a problem with it.
I would be really picky on which items to select for resale though as there are many imitations.
Comparing EBay and DHGate is not appropriate - I have been scammed several times on EBay ( and they don't care about the buyers only the sellers so they can get their fees ) and only ever use EBay to buy from Sellers that I know and trust. With DHGate , I had an order go all the way to the USA as I managed to change the country by mistake , and the seller sent another order out so I wouldn't be delayed - the original order arrived eventually so I received double the items for the one price.

For people that buy in bulk ( or can afford to ) and then resell themselves , DHGate is great. I don't dropship and hate auction sites like EBay etc that allow it - really stupid way of doing business as the Seller has no stock of their own and can't guarantee they can get it anyway.

So for me , DHGate is great , EBay is the real scam.

Default Scam Scam Scam

If you're looking for a purse and know the purse you order is a knock off and don't care that the purse appears to be smaller than the one pictured, then its not a scam.
If the ad says refurbished iPod Touch and there's a picture of an iPod Touch and it says you'll have it in five days, it's a scam.
If what you get is a knock off that works, then its a scam but at least it works.
Here's my experience: I order from a seller - probably as another poster on here says "an employee of dhGate - and wait five weeks for my knock off Touch. The seller is very communicative with me concerning the delays. Broken English and all.
When the knock off arrives, it has a camera feature. Refurbished or not, iPod Touches don't have a camera feature.
It doesn't have any Internet access. Touches do.
An iPod Touch weighs 4.05 oz. This weighed 2.5 oz.
The start up software is corrupt and most of the folders are empty.
The manual is titled "MP4 Digitrl Player". Thats not my typo. "Digitrl".
Literally, the box is the only fully correct component in this order.
When you dispute, dhGate wants you to communicate with the "seller" first. The problem is the "seller" is indeed probably dhGate and suddenly the communication with the seller stops. After a few days dhGate steps in "on my behalf" and graciously offer $20.00 off the cost of $93.00. That means I have a useless piece of trash for $73.00. Yes. I knew going in it was a knock off. At least let it be a working knock off.
The next day they graciously upped their offer to $30.00. I took it in an attempt to curb my loss since it costs $90.00 - yes that's right - $90.00 to ship the useless trash back to China.
So, in the end, if you can live with a knock off where whether or not it works is inconsequential like a purse, sunglasses, etc., go for it.
If its electronics,it won't work and its a scam. Scam. Scam. Scam.
