Default Is DHGATE official?

I would have to say yes it is an official site to buy from. It is up to the buyer to check out the feedback of a seller and to ask questions before buying. I personally have made several purchases thru DHGATE with great success and have been very satisfied with the quality of the items. I have had one seller try to rip me off, but the good thing is DHGATE holds the money and does not release to the seller until you say you have received the item and are satisfied.
DHGATE refunded my money promptly.
Never pay the seller directly, always pay with paypal thru DHGATE and you can't lose.

Do you mean that DHGate is acting as escrow????? Very unusual ................. but backup posts to a scam are usual

Default Dhgate

Yes, when you make a purchase from a seller on DHGATE the seller does not get the money until you click the button on the active order that you have received and are satisfied. There is a warning on the DHgate site that says do not pay the sellers directly.

don't contact any supplier from that website ,or you will be scammed.
i had bought a lot products from dhgate and sold them on ebay , finally i lost my clients my money, my good reputation on ebay. because all brand products in dhgate are fake , the products they say new and original are refurbished especially, the electronics cell phone.
my paypal account was suspended for 2 months because of dhgate shipping fake products to my customers, don't make deal with any supplier on dhgate.com ,dhgate.com is the begining of your nightmare

DO NOT USE DH GATE!!! My family learned a $2000 lesson. We ordered numerous items from golf clubs, scarves, purses and boots. To make a long story short, E Bay shut us down saying items were fakes. We asked the seller what we thought were all the right questions, and were told the items were authentic. When receiving the items, we looked them over and checked them against "authentic" items on line and could not see a problem. We did request our money back but have not received any responses and do not expect to. DH Gate lies and they ripped us off for $2000.

My gut said it was too good to be true - I should have followed my gut. Lesson learned. Folks, STAY AWAY FROM DH GATE.

Dear Violin Viv

Welcome to this forum.
Unfortunatelly many have learned their lesson paying a lot more. Just consider this well paid lesson to learn first check and then to act.
If you will ever check and you can not find anything bad, just post an investigation request in this forum and be sure you will get help soon.

Default Do you want the REAL truth about DHGate.com?

I felt compelled (as someone experienced and wise in this matter) to give you all the real low-down on DHgate.com. The truth and the way as it may be.

First let me state 2 months before Christmas 2007 I sold about half a million dollars in replica designer items that I purchased from select individuals that I found on DHgate.

* Problem #1 - If you believe there are any Original(Authentic -anything- on DHgate you are sadly wrong.

* Problem #2 - If your planning on setting up a business selling on ebay and/or using paypal as your merchant account, you might as well forget it now. Save yourself the grief. I have opened hundreds of paypal and ebay accounts and can assure you that you wont last long selling a replica item. After severe and tramautizing hatred of both of them luckily I found another way which infact was phenomenally better. But Im not going to tell you how I do it. No way.

* Problem #3 Exactly what is Dhgate? While I cannot prove it, I have many reasons to believe DHGate is nothing more than a disguised huge china replica manufacturer and its so-called "sellers" are employees of this organization to disguise there clearly illegal selling of designer items through the protection that Ebay has long received "The so called we dont the people so we cant be held accountable for what they sell". policy. Which doesnt stop ebay from getting sued for their site containing at any given time 85% counterfeit merchandise, but it does stop them from criminal indictment. go figure. Their ignorance has long paid off for them. BUT IT WONT PAY OFF FOR YOU. You the little guy can and will be prosecuted.

* The Good News?

Theres lots of it. The fact of the matter is, I have received many many many really angry reviews about my site, the products I sold, and many threatening me and calling their credit card companies. Eventually I did get shut down. But when I was shut down, I still made about 150k in profit after the dust settled, amd after refunding all the dissatisfied customers or having it taken from me through their chargebacks. You see many customers are actually stupid enough to believe the designer item that you sold them for half off was an original. (the item you paid 25% of the original price for).

NOW what you really need to know.

Not all the so-called sellers use the same factories or sell the same quality replicas. Yes there are actually fakes of the fakes. I have had one seller sell me an almost identical shirt, and an other sell me a horrible copy, so bad i had to throw in the trash. While everyone is in China there are many many variations of the item you are seeking. You simply must buy a sample from many sellers before buying a large lot.

I find the sellers that are willing to Instant Message you through Yahoo or Windows messenger are the more professional ones, and speak better english.
Those on dhgate that will only talk to you through dhgate, are the really unprofessional, amateur fools, that you SHOULD NOT DEAL WITH.

i will tell you I have sent tens of thounsands through western union to my charished chinese connections, but I would never send a dime to any of these guys without first establishing trust using the dhgate escrow service (WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD).

I will say, that I have never been ripped off after sending a western union, they have always delivered something, as is usually what you ordered, provided you ensured they sent you detailed pics of the ACTUAL inventory they are selling BEFORE you purchased.

FINALLY- Avoid Dropshipping. You rate of return (as you guessed) will be severely more higher drop shipping from China. I receive very few returns when I ship from the US. But then there are customs problems.

Drop Shipping is an easy way to clear customs and have never had problems drop shipping. However ordering bulk i have had several problems.

BTW - MY website only sells products on behalf of other sellers. I only advertise and provide escrow services for the products advertised on my site. So I do not claim to be an expert and never have possession of any item, because im just the ignorant advertiser and payment processor (just like ebay and dhgate, so I guess its legal.

HA!

If you advertise that products are imitations or replicas it is legal, but if you advertise that you sell original products or do not clarify if are original or replicas, and send replicas is fraud.
