I did notice on the website-as far as photos, they use photos of the authentic items-which would be fraud if the site didnt indicate that you should ask to see their (the seller) photos of the actual item. it definately is what it is and isnt really worth the headache- just to save acouple of dollars.

Default DHgate is awesome

It tells you right on their homepage NOT TO SEND MONEY DIRECTLY TO SELLERS. They tell you to use PayPal. If you got burned because you used Western Union....shame on you

Thumbs up DHgate is awesome!

I am baffled at some of the posts regarding DHgate. I have been buying from them for some time now and I am thrilled and couldn't be more pleased with how I am treated as a customer. After reading some of the complaints, I must say that ignorance and lack of common sense was the cause of most of the complaints. Sorry...but the truth hurts sometimes.

There is no need to insult others. You seem to forget that victims are not all from English speaking countries and it is easy sometimes to be confused and scammed.
We have to help them.

Smile Curious About Our Escrow Protection?

At DHgate, we're working to protect our buyers from scams and potential fraud. While we carefully screen our sellers, sometimes a less-than-honest seller slips through.

As the premier online marketplace provider of Chinese products, we want to do everything we can to provide our buyers and sellers with safe, secure transactions.

One way we do this is to protect the privacy of your personal information in your transactions with our SSL program, which makes certain no one has access to your private information when you conduct a transaction on DHgate.

We also offer one of the world's best escrow protection systems. With DHgate's Escrow Protection, we help prevent our buyers from fraud by doing the following:
# DHgate tracks the shipped merchandise and verifies if it was delivered
# In the eventuality that disputes should occur, DHgate will be there to help both buyers and sellers resolve the issue
# The seller isn't paid until the buyer accepts the merchandise.

No system is perfect, but we've found that the overwhelming majority of buyers find that DHgate offers a level of protection that they rarely find elsewhere.

Why not learn more about DHgate Escrow Protection today, and buy at the World's "Wholesale Fast Trading Marketplace" with confidence in your security. Wholesale clothing, electronics, jewelry and more are just a few clicks away.

Default Items return, Dhgate stalling, kept my money!!

I do not appreciate the fact that I have wasted good money and have been lied to by these sellers.

My question is this, how do you go about getting authentic items and not copies on Dhgate? Note: I did not purchase cheap products. Also when you bring the problem to the sellers attention what do you do when they refuse to respond and/or work with you to resolve the issue? I have tried contacting customer service without success. Bottom line is sellers on this site NEED to ACCURATELY DESCRIBE THEIR PRODUCTS. Otherwise it gives Dhgate a bad name and it appears to be a place just to get SCAMMED.
I got bad/damage/poor quality and not authentic.and unsellable. 2 sellers didn't bother to send anything. I made Dhgate very aware that I was requesting a refund. From all four sellers. 1 order was sent directly to Dhgate.

Still with them knowing all this, and they kept stalling with a refund is being process. Then on the last day that they set, they tell me my funds are being release to the seller. And Dhgate knew order was sent back, I even sent dhgate pictures! Yet they still they lied saying be patient its coming the refund is coming we're working on it.
But now they send me an email saying the funds are being release to the seller. THAT IS OUTRIGHT STEALING AND LARCENDY AFTER TRUST! I DID EVERYTHING THEY TOLD ME. I SENT PICTURES AND CONFIRMATION NUMBER TO TRACK THE PACKAGE BACK TO SELLER. AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY MONEY. THANK GOD I USED PAY PAL AND AMERICAN EXPRESS! And the button they say at the end of the dispute page to Submit to Dhgate NEVER
came up! I kept looking for it. So I had to send them e-mail by yahoo.

DHGATE IS JUST A MEANS FOR PEOPLE IN CHINA TO STEAL--GLOBALLY!

Post Yep, Most Likely Its A Replica!

I have been doing business with DHgate for about a year now. I ordered handbags from them. I researched a lot of designer handbags before ordering thru them.
1. When ordering designer name brand items.... know that most Designers do not release the sale of their products this way. For example if you buy a Coach handbag from them, know that Coach does not release the sell of their items thru ANY CHINA TRADING COMPANY!! If you didn't purchase it from Coach, Macys.... Its NOT AUTHENTIC!!! If you buy them "NEW" on Ebay, without a box, no gift receipt.... They're probably replicas!!!
2. Always check the seller's TRUST SCORE. It tells a lot!!
3. Pay thru Paypal!! I don't even just use my credit card , PayPal only.
4. I agree that you must take the chance and purchase a sample first.
Always know your product. Examine it, use it, test it out....
5. These items go thru customs!! I've had packages sit in customs for dayssssssssss!! So I would never purchase electronics from China, unless it was coming FedEx!! Still run the chances of broken and damaged items.
I've been blessed to have had nothing but good luck from DHgate. I will be much more cautious of this site in the future because of all the people who HAVE been SCAMMED thru DHgate

Default Always ask for a lower bid

Probly you think the price is already cheap there....wait a min, ask for a lower bid and see what'll happen... guess what, it can be 50% lower.

I recently posted a request specifying that I need a cool trench coat. And I got tons of replies.. Of which, 3 responses are of the same item (same pic at least)... and the price is $110, $90, $41.. of course I went with $41 one, and I went further by asking for a lower price. deal~

I'm pretty happy with the deal while I doubt they are selling auth items.. How can you buy Chloe at around $50 ? i mean, it's a bit hard to believe.. anyway, i only ordered one item.. wait and see~

Question DH Gate

I am considering buying a custom made gown from this site, has anyone placed any orders of this type and gotten burned by the seller: not made as described, not sized correctly, or wrong colors....Of course I plan to use paypal, and I know you are wondering why not buy a dress here in the US, I found this dress on here and fell in love and I don't care that its not designer, I just haven't found one in stores comparable to it.....Has anyone ordered any custom made gowns and found them dissappointing
