I signed my friends baby up for the $2500 contest. I also recieved the email a few days later that said she was selected for the contest that wins $25,000 savings bond. I became a little skeptical when they asked for a $20 entrance fee. Whenever you deal with online stuff you can never know if it is legitamite. It is sad because most any contest you enter usually does have an entrance fee, but with anything online there is no way of knowing what is real and what isn't.

I too got an email and posted my grand daughters picture on the site and asked all my family and friends to vote. I received an email today stating that she was picked to be in the 2009 most beautiful baby book and if I wanted a copy of the book I had to pay $69.95 for it. THis truely is a big scam to get people to pay for a book they probably will never receive. Or everyone in the book were the people stupid enough to pay the price to have the baby picture in it. Then they will have the right to use the picture where and whenever they please. Scam, scam, scam.

I'm truly amazed that there are photos on there with 3 votes. What kind of subscriptions did they have to sign up for to get there? I cannot get past a page that says "You must sign up for one offer to continue" and there it is... I've blocked them from my email and wish they would get off the air, as it were

A few days ago I posted some random photograph of some trees (without any children anywhere) and called the photo "Jenny". They just emailed me and claimed that "Jenny" is so adorable and that she is eligible to win the $20K.
Scams like this should be illegal. |

My sister entered her baby in the Great American Photo Contest Baby, by Sonya White.
We thought nothing of it then. But the next day they said that my sisters baby was chosen and won the contest. SHE WON THE PRIZE OF 2500; and said that "Photo Judging Committee selected your baby, her photograph to enter the special $25,000.00 U.S RIGHT THE NEXT DAY SHE WON THE CONTEST??? WHICH I THOUGHT WAS ODD. So i looked it up. I remember that i voted once and then my sister voted once so we had the total of two votes. Then the next day she won the contest. I thought well, HOW could she have possible won the contest if she only submitted 2 votes???? Today I got an email saying that i DID NOT VOTE. AND I REMEMBER I DID VOTE. This is what they said "The photograph with the most valid votes this month wins $2,500, so it is important that you confirm your vote and registration now by clicking on that link.[/color] You cannot confirm your vote any other way." They send me this email to confirm my vote after they told my sister that she win the contest. After finding this suspicious, i did some research. I found out that they are located in "2226 Linwood Plaza 110, Fort Lee, NJ 07024-3701", then I googled there address. WHAT YOU CAN FIND OUT IN THE INTERNET THESE DAYS=). anyway, i found a picture of their so called location. "WHICH IS AN abandoned building" They also contaced my sister telling her to submit her card number to win the grand prize of $25,000.00. I've come to the conclusion that there scammers, what sad to me is that the use CHILDREN to scammer others. Last edited by emilyliz; 08-20-2009 at 10:06 PM. |

Received a few days ago from adopted daughter entering newborn in the Great American Photo contest and would I vote. Of course I'm going to vote! In order for this vote to count, I had to confirm my email; but, at the same token I was able to take the survey (or whatever).
Just like you, I immediately became suspicious,...I skipped all and lastly, I was prompted for information that was irrelevant. Fortunately, this phishing scam didn't go thru. Later that evening, I received 2 emails from the Great American Photo Contest (clicked scam & delete) and this afternoon, I received a Walmart discount (scam & delete). I recall taking a survey earlier this year to receive a 3 DVD set. Instead of answering a survey, like a fool I was clicking 'no' to all future advertisements. Lo' and behold, I received a minimum of 30+ emails per day and could not block all these advertisements coming in. To alleviate the phishing scams, I deleted email account & reopened another...that's it! I think it did have something to do with Great American. |

I just recently signed up my baby for the Great American Photo Contest and at first I thought it was a scam because of the surveys and choosing yes or no offers, but then I figured out that you do not have to go through with any of the offers at all just to cast a vote or join. Yes it is annoying but you do not have to buy anything or take any surveys. Just skip it all, or do what I do and double click the back button a few times till you get what you are looking for. Also, if you give out your friends and families email address, "TGAPC" website is going to fill up their inboxes with a bunch of junk like twice a day. As for the fame and fortune contest, you do haveto pay 20 bucks to enter. Thats just like any other photo contest. I just think its funny that TGAPC will send me emails saying that they've "CHOSEN" my child to "ENTER" the 25,000 F&F contest! So although TGAPC seems like a scam and ripp off, it really is not, it just make itself look like one! lol!

I am a proud young Grandma and sent in a picture of my Grandson, of course he is adorable and I thought it would be so nice to win the money for my daughter. I did not fill out any offers and was annoyed that there were pages and pages of them when registering. Unfortunately all I have gotten since entering is a new email daily asking me to buy this and that. "Your baby was a finalist last month" is the latest I got from them. And as you probably already know they would love to send me a framed picture for 6.99 and my credit card number. After the past few weeks of emails I decided to check them out with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) They are not a BBB member and have had 16 filed complaints. 14 resolved and 2 removed. They are given a B+ rating. Someone said on here that if a contest is real then they don't require you to pay anything. Sadly this is just another scam for money.
