I joined WV recently and I have been having second thoughts since but I personally know the Top Sellers in my area and they love it i don't knowwhat to do because everyone i try to get onto my team just thinks its a scam. It seems like a few of you are a part of the team any suggestions to ease my mind?

We are not Travel Agents ... We are Leisure Travel Consultants.... As far as becoming a Authorized Booking Agent Hours of training is required.... But.... CLIA comes out to do our start up training for those who want to book Cruises..... so we can get our CLIA Card direct through them.... Now I know you realize that CLIA does not sell their Card you have to earn it....... I would like to tell you more but I am new to this site and don't want to make any mistakes.... I do believe this is a great company, but it also depends on who's your sponsor. Listening to the training calls, a big part of this company is teamwork and integrity, getting your downline to training, on dreamtrips, etc, basically your upline/sponsor working with you. Just make sure the person that signs you up sticks to the integrity part of it or you just might be left out to dry, especially if you're new to network marketing, cold calling prospects, etc. and have no idea what you're doing, counting on your sponsor to help you.

I had a business partner show me World Ventures today. One glaringly obvious thing worries me: How is it that anyone expects to drive traffic to their websites? You need to see traffic and bookings to make any real money at this. So, if every personalized WV website looks the same, how does one distinguish themselves in the huge global online market place? It's not enough to just get other members to sign up. If you want to see commissions, you need to see sales on your website. Since there's thousands of these private-labeled WV sites, how does anyone expect to get people to buy vacation packages from their site instead of someone else's? You can't rely on search engines to drive traffic to your site because yours is no more unique than any other WV site. You would actually have to do some real face-to-face selling of Dream Vacations to see any substantial amount of sales on your site. You might as well call it door-to-door sales or Cutco knife sales because there's no substantial difference. This business structure simply cannot be sustained only by its membership fees and the signing up of new members. If everyone is a salesperson and has special access to the goods, who is the customer buying the goods? If WV is to succeed, it must have a large portion of its income coming from vacation package sales, not just member sign-up fees. A business needs to fill a niche, and this simply doesn't. It's only good at getting bloated real fast.
I make my living as a web developer and am a Computer Science graduate with a Business Administration minor. If anyone that gets in on this just expects people to happen across THEIR site while looking for travel deals, they're dead wrong. This involves more work than the enticers let on. I'm not saying that one can't make money at it, but don't expect to just buy in and watch your website make money for you; you'd be cheating yourself to believe that. Be prepared for some old-fashioned pavement-pounding if you expect it to pay off. Also, you'd better hope the company (WV) doesn't collapse. They are, after all, an LLC, not a corporation, which seems a bit sketchy for an operation of this magnitude. You'd be wise to snatch up a catchy domain name, which you can forward to your yourname.worldventures.com site. But then, since you have no control over the layout and style of the WV site, you need to contend with customer trust issues. If you tell someone to go to patrickstravel.com and it forwards to patricksomebody.worldventures.com, your potential customer may be very confused and never even book a package with you. There are major trust issues at play in online commerce that simply are not very well addressed with the WV system. PLUS, on top of all those difficult odds, you have to contend with the enormous mind share that the large well-known travel companies have with the general populous. I don't even have to name them because you already know who they are. I can hear their jingles now... The important thing to note is that WV takes way more work than most presenters reveal. I can see how many folks would walk away from the presentation (and possibly a sign-up) thinking "This is great! All I have to do is get a few people under me and wait for website to make money!" WRONG. And this should be more clearly stated by presenters. We have to understand the position of these brick and mortar travel agents. There business is being taken from them by leaps and bounds and they are fighting to hang on. It isn't anything personal but times are changing and the internet has changed MANY business models and will continue to do so.
I am an RTA with YTB and absolutely love it! So much so that I am phasing out my real estate business and in the process of building a new home office for my YTB venture. Before I get jumped on, I want to say that World Ventures is not a scam and neither is YTB. I have a few friends that are a part of WV and they love it. However, when I was deciding which company I wanted to join, I had to take into consideration what each had to offer me. Both allow you to travel as an "insider" and receive the perk and benefits that comes along with the business. But the following is what tipped the scales towards YTB. With the director position, YTB gives you: • $2,000 base pay in addition to your commissions, bonuses and overrides • Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Health Insurance - no questions asked • $150,000 Life Insurance policy Plus YTB has a "Bill of Rights" in which the comp plan can never be changed except to add benefits. Nothing can ever be taken away. Director levels 2-5, the base pay is increased with each level and the bonuses go from $50,000 to 1 Million Dollars! 6 Million dollar bonuses have already been given out! Also, there are no minimums or time limits whatsoever! When I was checking out World Ventures I did find some things that I didn’t like: (pulled directly from their comp plan revised 03-08-09) • If a Rep remains inactive for more than 4 weekly pay periods, the sales volume they have accumulated will irrevocably expire. • If a Rep remains inactive for more than 12 consecutive weekly pay periods at any time, the Rep's Agreement shall be terminated. • Once a Rep achieves the rank of Fully Qualified Rep (FQR) or higher, he/she is eligible for a "Grace Period" of up to one month, one time per year. If he/she becomes inactive for any reason, he/she has one month to regain Active status, or all binary sales volume will irrevocably expire. • World Ventures will recover Direct Commissions paid to Rep any time an initial product purchase is refunded to the customer. (Charge Backs) • There is a maximum number of weekly Bonus Cycles a Rep may earn at each promotion rank. Reps will not be paid for more than the maximum number or cycles regardless of the number of cycles completed for the pay period. • One "Cycle" is generated for every three sales credits on the left side that match up with three sales credits on the right side of the Reps binary organization. If the sides are not balanced, a cycle is not created. • World Ventures Reps are also awarded 20 Travel Points for every weekly cycle they earn. Travel Points may be redeemed only through the company and are designed to reward our Reps by covering some or all of the costs of their travel experiences. Travel Point must be used before the Travel Points expiration date.• Dream Home and Car Bonus - Payments will be maintained by World Ventures as long as Rep maintains IMD status. The program is full of minimums and time limitations. The above are just the ones I pulled in 10 minutes directly from their compensation plan revised 03-08-2008. Oh yeah, and the above is subject to change. :-) Again, World Ventures is not a scam and is working for lots of people but because of some of the limitations it wasn’t me.
