Thumbs down

I thought that i would just let everyone know that i was looking on PistonHeads the other day and i noticed that "Floyd Wilkerson" was advertising the same car AGAIN that i paid him for!!! I have been in contact with PH and had him removed, however he is now using a new cargo company and has set up another fake website it goes by the name of www.pd-logistics.co.uk / or .com
I am trying to get that shut down as well but havent had much luck. so any help would be grately appreciated.
I have also emailed him and told him exactly what i thought of him!! sorry it is too rude to put on here.
he is using the name Peter Diser.

Has anyone else seen him recently on other websites?

thanks Cazzatwin1:

Unhappy Elcodel - used car scam - martinmvm@yahoo.com

Hi

I can't believe I almost fell for this scam! I have also had dealings with Martin in Roma. I made an enquiry on Simple Trade Pty Ltd - ad #728693 1999 mercedes benz a160 automatic. The car seemed too good to be true - and of course it was. Although I thought it sounded dodgy I still continued to email him. I am embarrassed that it took me so long to see it was a scam. As soon as he mentioned "Western Union" I knew absolutely! See below his emails and contact details. As you will see, the website he recommends for shipping has changed from the ones I have read on previous posts.

Subject: Re: Regarding ad #728693 1999 mercedes benz a160 automatic

Hello,
First of all I have to tell you that the vehicle is in good condition, has no technical damage at all, no scratches or dents, no hidden defects, no smoking. It's fun and robust to drive. Technical inspection and emissions testing is passed and stamped as well.
It has title of ownership, cleared of any obligations or fees and comes with all the documents you need to register it. The reason I am selling the car is because I really have to not because I don't like it anymore.
I have worked in Australia for the last 2 years and I've purchased the car there. My company wanted me back home, so currently I'm in Rome, Italy. I've bring the car home with me. I decided that is better to sell it because I don `t use it anymore (the wheel is on right side and is very difficult for me to drive it in Italy) and it `s a pity to keep such a car and not to use it.
I realize that is a cheap price for such a car but my special situation makes me do things that I wouldn't do in normal circumstances.
The price I am looking for my car is $4,800 including the shipping costs, insurance and handling (delivery to Australia).
You will not have to pay additional taxes for this.
The car has 8 months REGO and CTP insurance. Also has full service history and it is hpi cleared.
Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

EMAIL 2:
Hi,
I would like to use a shipping company for this deal, the process is very easy and I have just bought a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and this is why I know how it works.
This company will handle the delivery of the car and also they will handle all the registration papers. If we will use it you will have 5 days to inspect the car before you decide to buy it.
I will pay delivery! The delivery time will be around 7 days and the car will be delivered at your home address. In this time you will receive the tracking number of the transaction so you can use it to check the status on the company website.
Let me explain you the whole process:
First I will need your details, full name and address. As soon as I get the info from you I will take the car and go to the shipping company to transfer it in their custody. I will pay all the shipping charges. After the car is in their custody they will send you a confirmation and also payment instructions. They work as an escrow service and will hold the payment during the 5 days period for inspection. After the payment is confirmed to them, they will get the car to your home address and will also give you the documents of registration and the car will be left in your custody, in this period you can inspect the car, take it to a service for inspection and drive test it. After the 5 days period is over the shipping company will come to you and if you decided to keep the car you will transfer the documents on your name and after the car is registered on your name they will release the payment to me. If you decide not to buy the car they will get the car back and will send you a full refund of the payment.
Please e-mail me with your decision and also your full name and address!!
My phone no. is: 0039 3284-011-602, I am available in the morning before 10 AM, in the afternoon I am at work so will get back to you by email.

EMAIL 3:
Hi,
Sorry for delay, I've been really bussy all this time. As I told you I will cover the delivery fees for this transaction and the total you will have to pay is $4,800. The vin number of the merc is: wdb1680332j270871, the delivery company is Edc Ltd, their website is .:::Better things are yet to come.... I wait your reply with your full name and address if you decide to go with the p[urchase and I could take the car to the shipping company this weekend.
Martin

EMAIL 4:
I just came back from the shipping company, it took me a while to arrange everything, I have paid for shipping and everything, it cost me about 500 Eur, anyway it is all done, they will contact you with payment instructions and they also gave me a tracking number to track the car on their web site here it is:UM643284496H72
You can check it on .:::We offer good protection, both for the seller and the buyer
Let me know when they have contacted you and also the status of the car and when will get to you.
Thank you and have a nice day.
Martin

EMAIL 5:
I forgot to tell you that last time when I used this company they require a payment by western union so when you make the payment to them at western union do not tell them you are buying a car because they will ask for huge taxes, just tell them that you are sending the money for a friend or relative and the costs will be lower.
Thank you.
Have a nice day
Martin

Hi there thansk for the information, i cannot believe this guy, he seems to have dozen cars advertising at once and is probably making a killing out of peoples hard earned money.
Personally i think that this guy needs to be stopped and i also think that the website Pistonheads should be shut down as this is where he advertises most of his cars...
i have contacted PH regarding the Mercedes A160 Automatic and STILL they have not taken him off of the site. it is getting beyond a joke ....
Comments would be appreciated greatly

Default Pistonheads used car scam - Lucas Bardi <lucasbardi.gd@gmail.com>

Here's another scam Pistonheads ad posted by the same guy (going by the name Lucas Bardi):
Ford : FORD MONDEO 2.0 TD CI 130 GHIA X

The real car can be seen on Autotrader or the UK dealer's website:
Autotrader link

It's a bit stupid using photos of a car at a dealer with a Lightning jet on a pole in the background - it took 20 seconds to find the location... I contacted Pistonheads to ask them to investigate.

I emailed the scammer for more information, here's the response (similar story to the others):

Hi all,

Just wanted to give a heads up on my discovery over the past few day's while searching for cars! I went to a site called Auto Market – New and Used Cars for Sale,Free Car Advertising,Car Search,Car Dealers,New Cars,Automotive Australia Now I was searching for Holden Commodores, Well to my amazement, there were cars advertised for very low money to what they are worth! So in curiosity I contacted the sellers for the contact button! That was last night, now this morning I had one reply sitting in my email and here is the reply as it was written to me from the person named,

From: clarry prescott <clarry.11p@msn.com>
Subject: RE: Vehicle Enquiry From AutoMarket.com.au
Date: Thu 02/14/08 05:01 AM

Hi there, I will tell you a few words about my car. It is inimaculate
condition and has no scratches on and hasn'tbeen involved in any
accident. The total price i hopeto sell this car is $3 800 AUD.The car
will be shipped on my expense, will bedelivered directly to your
address. I will pay theshipping fees. You will have 7 days from the time
youreceive the car to inspect it and decide if you wantto keep it or
not.If you are interested in buying it please provide meyour full name
and address so I can initiate the dealthrough AutoMarket. After that
they will contact youwith all necesary information about
thistransaction(terms,buyer protection,paymentinstructions,invoice,etc.)
I look forward to hearing from you Clarry

Now I must say before I even read this, the alarm bells had already gone off for me, but I wanted to see what info this person would give up! I contacted him back about his email and told him I tried calling the number given in the ad, but it came up the wrong number, surprise surprise huh!! here is the the ad which is still current AutoMarket.com.au | New and Used Cars For Sale: Vehicle

Now a few things that tipped me off at first, one it says the seller is from Sydney N.S.W but the car has QLD number plates on it??? But the biggest of all, was the price for AUD$3,800 The car in valuation, should be at least closer to AUD$12,000..... But let me point out, I saw many ads on there with similar signs, but yet another ad said it was a V8 manual, but in the Pictures you could see the V6 badges on the car and on the interior shot it showed it was an automatic.... Plus the price once again was far to low for such a car! I don't doubt there are Honest people selling there cars on there website, but for what I saw, there was a lot of scam ads placed there, which are still current! My advice would be to be very very careful if looking to buy from there website! It has been said many times before, if looks to good to be true then it more then likely is!

I have searched this guys name and email, but have came up empty, so it would appear to me, that he is using a fresh name and email for scamming! The other thing that tipped me off from the email was the fact the email was sent to me at right on 5am my time, which would suggest that he was from another country! Now i am still in contact with this Clarry and will try to uncover as much info as I can a long the way and post it here! I will do everything I can to help this forum and it's people to unearth these SCAMMING CRIMINAL'S!! There is to much of it going on in the world and it's about time we started unearthing more of them and taking our cases to The news current Affair Programs as they will personally hunt them down and bring them to Justice! Bring it on I say

I will keep you posted about the Situation at hand!

Cheers

Default Lucas Bardi (European-delivery.com)

Reading below I think I have been caught out by the same scam.

I saw a 2005 BMN 320d 150BHP on the pistonhheads website. I made contact with the indivdual- Lucas Bardi. He said he lived in the UK and had been transferred back to Spain...Same as the Itlay story, taxes, right hand drive blah blah blah.

This time the guys are even more organised, they had a website to go along with the scam. www.european-deliverys.com they have addresses in Scotland and Italy on the site, telephone numbers the works, right down to company registration numbers.

Once I made the payment the website went down and the email did not work office@european-deliverys.com then when I emailed Lucas he said the site was down for updates and gave me the following email office@europeancars-delivery.com.

I have placed a recall on the money so hopefully it has not yert cleared in the Spanish bank account:

The telephone number these guys are using are as follows:
0044 703 195 6704 (Goes to international ring tone)

I have spoken to the Bogdan Georgian guy a few times now, he tells me the transfer has not been made because the beneficary name is incorrect but the bank account detail are correct. He says the bank is not releasing the funds so hopefully I am lucky and my recall I've placed will be successfull.

These guys are really slick and well organised, they even have references that check out.
