I've just had an email from these scam artists too. They were advertising a nice car on Autotrader and it looked far too good to be true. Thank Google for site like these! Stay safe out there! I sent "Joanne Parker" an email requesting a photo of her and of her passport. (This was before I found this site). Here is the reply I just received. Hello again, The car is still available for 3000 GBP + 100 shipping cost, if you want to buy it please give me your full name and shipping address to contact eBay and have them send you the invoice. About the payment process you must know that: You must deposit the full price amount + shipping fees , fully refundable ( including money transfer fees ) to eBay's Agent from Greece . After that you must fax to eBay all the receipts of payment allowing them to start the shipping because as I told you in my first email, the car will be shipped by eBay and they can't start the shipping process until you send the payment receipts. As soon as they confirm your payment, they will ship you the car and give you the tracking number. When you will receive the car and all the documents (naturally, I will sign the section 8 in the V5 form so you can easily transfer the car into your name) you must send a confirmation to eBay to tell them if everything is OK with the car so they can send me the payment. If, for some reason, you disagree with the car ( I assure you that is NOT going to happen since my car is in IMMACULATE condition in and out ) it will be shipped back to me on MY EXPENSE and eBay will send you all your money back. Asked stuff about the car's history, mot and where in the uk it is etc... and I got this email back (I wonder if this sounds familiar at all?): Hello ,Obviously, at this point alarm bells are really ringing, for several different reasons, so I reported his advert as spam. Then I googled his name and found this thread! Liking the idea on the previous post! Was thinking of doing something similar myself, but am not sure what. If anyone has any ideas? I would just love to waste this guy's time a bit more. Also worth a read is this website: Welcome to the 419 Eater Scamming the scammer - very funny and good for quiet days in work ;-) Anyhow, I'm sorry to hear that some of you got caught out by this scam. But I guess the saying is right - if it's too good to be true, it probably is!

This scammer is still very much active.
I was almost taken to the cleaners but survived thanks to gut feeling. I chanced on his/her car ads from Autotrader but gut feeling told me it was too good to be true. Nevertheless I contacted him/her for further details. Below is our communication the latest having been sent from me only this afternoon.
