The West Coast Wellness Diet is yet another Multi Level Marketing, or MLM, scheme. In other words it’s a legal Pyramid scam that offers would-be sales men bonuses for signing new recruits, takes a substantial commission from every sale and makes associates pay for both the products and the right to sell it. There are many, many such organizations, and very, very few participants actually make a profit. Most end up in debt.
According to disgruntled former salespeople West Coast Wellness charges over $150 to sign up. Then they must pay for the product. The program offers discounts on pricing if you put money (as much as $50,000) in up-front. They are encouraged to give away numerous samples of these products, paid for from their own pocket. And iff a participant wants to benefit from their advertising they must pay and additional $1000 per month.
As with most MLM’s the goal is selling the company, not the product. The efficacy of the product has not been verified.
