The company was very hard to contact and when I went to my bank they weren't much help except for telling me to close my bank account. After endless research I got a contact email and sent them a letter that stated I worked for a law firm that would be happy to take them court. They sent me an email back stating the charges would stop.

Well, today I just ordered the hoodiphen from hoodiaphen.com and then in the process or researching what I just ordered I came upon this sight and saw what happened to a few people who were ripped off by this company.

I immediately contacted my bank and asked them if I could stop this order from processing. The guy told me that I would have to (a.) dispute or (b.) cancel my debit card (credit card). I opted for cancelling my credit card, becuase that is the only access they have to my bank account and with it no longer activated they will not be able to continue charging ...................

Dear Solution

Welcome to this forum.

As ex bank executive I have some notices for the marked parts of your post.
If you order one item and see many charges for the same reason in your bank account you must ask refund from your bank. Is their problem to get the money back not your's.

Never just contact with your bank. Write and demand written answer.

By canceling your credit or debit card is not meaning that you stopped access to your bank account. Cloese down the account and create another.

If you need any further help do not hesitate to contact me.

I did the same thing a jgel. (I guess I am a sucker for diet aids.) When I realized I could not contact them, I called my credit card company. So far, the only charges are what I asked for. I suppose the best action would be to check the charges daily, and dispute any further charges. Or should i just cancel this credit card account now?

Your thoughts?

Thank you.

Of cource you have to check your account for any charges and to dispute for what you have not aprooved. It is mentioned also in the terms of the contract you signed with the credit card company. If you find any charge dispute and then close the credit card account.

After reading all of the recent messages, I am now worried that my request for the free sample for only $4.95 is going to come back as a huge charge and I will never be able to get a hold of the company and will have to close my bank account, start over and notify all of my accounts of the change?
I just placed the order 10 min ago!
I called 888-527-0870 and was told to go to nexgenlabsusa.com and fill out a support ticket to cancel the order.
And of course, the company is a strictly online company, there is no one online to actually talk to and no phone number on the site to call and www.hoodiaphen.com/support/users/main.php says that the site cannot be found.
Seriously, am I in store for a whole bunch of trouble?

Dear jasmine1212

welcome to this forum.
Yes you may be in trouble. Contact with you credit card (always write a letter) to decline the charge and also keep a copy of your order where the cost of 4.95$ is shown.
If the site is already down how did you ordered?

Default Great....

Thank you!
I appreciate you responding to my post.

I recieved this an email from "julie" at ygubke@skytestsite.com
"74 people wanted to lose 20 pounds in 30 days"
I replied to that address and requested that my order number be cancelled, the product not be sent and that my account is not to be charged.
At the bottom of the page was a link to request that future e-mails not be sent:
610 Newport Center Dr. #600 Newport Beach, CA 92660
There are over 82 businesses and individuals listed at that address.

Are my best options right now to copy everything, send a letter to my bank and wait to see what happens?

Well, my bank told me that my only option is to wait for the transaction to go through, then cancel the card I used and dispute the charges with my bank in the hopes that they will decide to issue me a credit. Since there is no way for either the bank or myself to get a hold of the company, that is the only option.

Thanks

As ex-bank executive I always advice everybody to use ONLY pre-paid credit cards for on-line transactions but nobody hears my advice and then we all see theese problems.
Next time before you make an on-line order think twice and check many times the seller.
