If you mean taking on the scammer this is called scambaiting and it would be a good idea to learn how to do it safely! if the scammer has your real life details then it is advisable for you NOT to handle him/her yourself !
There are several sites that would help you do this safely, one is listed below!
If you could post a copy of the emails from him/her we will be in a better position to help you here!

If you have any concerns with it being a love scam and need to talk, please feel free to send either a mod or myself a private message thanks

Default New not sure what to do on this site yet.

Shall I copy and paste the emails/IMs or should I give the name of the person and who i sent the money to already.

I dont think that the site will help me as this man has been persuing me. He of course, says he loves me. etc. He says that his daughter was in an accident with his mother on wednesday and is in a Hospital and can not get surgery because he can not pay the $400. admittance fee to hosp. and
theres more before that. The scary part is that I have spoke to him on the phone several times and I believe him. I have fallen for him. If he is scamming me he is the best damn actor I have ever known. I already sent a western union on Sunday for $150. to Nigeria to a man named Joe Madu - whom he says is his mothers housekeeper who has the credentials to receive the money. He wanted $300.00 for his daughters birthday. She could not have a party because he does not have access to his money while he is working on the ship in the UK ocean and has maxed credit cards. He promised to pay me back and give me more. He may be telling the truth and he may not. I would like to know what steps to take to find out.

It is clear that he lies. If anyone works to a shipping company can ask from the desk to send part of his salary to his family.
DO NOT SEND ANY MORE MONEY IS A SCAM.
