Post TradeTang.com Scam?

  • -Do you really know what’s going on?
  • Most of our buyers bought merchandise from sellers on tradetang.com without any problems, however, according to our statistics updated daily, some 5% buyers encountered problems such as wrong shipment address, sellers run short of stock, sellers didn’t reply, or, the most frequently happened, product description did not match the goods received.
  • It is important to be aware of the fact that TradeTang.com is a wholesale and retail worldwide marketplace, the products does not belong to the TradeTang.com itself, but to the suppliers. Our job is to arrange the product line, select the trusted sellers for the best quality items with the lowest prices, and keep up with the pace with the western fashion and to create a safe and comfortable trading environment.
  • Given the fact that some scams are reported as buyers occasionally received products inconsistent with the item description, it is our responsibility to guarantee that the buyer’s profit is protected and the misconducts carried out by the sellers is rightly punished. Although 99% of the scams reported ended up a peaceful solution for both sides and some of the scams were later found out to be misunderstanding caused by cultural and language differences, therefore, patient and intelligible communication is encouraged.
  • It is equally important for buyers on TradeTang.com to know how to prevent scams. Matching the different products is necessary, compare the seller profile and look into the comments others left to him. TradeTang provides a real-time profile checking function for buyers to look into, the link is on the upper right of the product page, click the “view supplier profile” to check. Another effective way is asking the supplier directly you intend to buy from, including the color, size function, and so on. If got scammed, all the communication records will be used for TradeTang to judge.
  • By performing the ways stated above, there is much less chance a scam will arise, and all you need to do is to search for what you want and enjoy the shopping.

Default TradeTang.com representative?

@pottisun . Welcome to 419legal .
Please introduce yourself as you are with trade tang.
What position do you hold in this company?

If you are in a position to speak for this company, I would assume you are also in a position to help the members on this forum who have had such a bad experience with your company!

Your company has a very large sales volume, so 5% of unhappy customers is a LOT of unhappy people. What steps is your company taking to fix this problem?

Will you be contacting the unhappy members on 419legal and helping them to get a refund or to satisfy your customer's.

Default TradeTang Resolution Record

I beg to differ on the percentage of claims against TradeTang. You state it is only 5% where in reality, if you view other sites, is really closer to 85%. In my particular case against wanglaoj117, He advertised 2 American made guitars but when the order was shipped, he actually sent 2 counterfeit knockoffs. This was an unauthorized substitution called bait and switch. When the claim was initiated, your refund offer of $300 USD against a total purchase order of nearly $800 tells me that $300 was what the fake merchandies was really worth, the remainder went to pay for the sellers "Free Shipping". Add to that the burden of the buyer to pay shipping costs to return the merchandise back to China ($450 USD) and you do the math - who really got ripped off here? Now wanglaoj-117 should have been removed from TradeTang for using bait and switch tactics yet he is still advertising on your site. Even the negative feedback that I left for him has been ediited out. Since this is allowed to continue, one can assume that TradeTang is complict in tthe sellers activities and condones scamming its buyers. TradeTang knows we live half way around the globe and cannot go after the seller, that you will not back the buyer for a complete refund, which in effect forces the buyer to accept counterfeit merchandise (or have to pay more for its return than the refund is worth). These transactions do not show up in your statistics because they look like the buyer is satisfied - nothing could be further from the truth.

We have a post by our member MosriteCharlie. claiming that he did not receive a full refund for goods that could be classed as part of a "passing off" type of fraud.
Can you investigate this and do the right thing by your customer as you claim you will do and arrange a full refund for him? Thank you scammerslammer.
