Default UAM Geneva

I have been contacted by an investment company called Universal Asset Management. I live in Ukraine where they've just opened an office. They say that their central office is in Geneva and they have other offices in Dubai, USA, Romania, Switzerland and Bolivia. They are also saying that they work with Credit Suisse and UBS. They seem legit (and I say seem) but I need to be sure about where my money goes (considering they ask for big amounts, the minimum investment amount being around 200.000 Euros). How can I check them? I have sent a letter to Credit Suisse but I didn't get a response. Does anyone know anything about this company?

Dear Stanley&Branley

Welcome to this forum.
As ex bank executive I will only advice you to read carefully their written proposals and then post in this forum an investigation request.
As far as you write in your post they seem brokers from Swiss banks. In such case they must give you their code number of broker. You may contact with the banks asking info for the specific code number.
In any case DO NOT transfer money to accounts that do not belong to you.
Also from personal knowledge Swiss banks mostly use representative offices to other countries and they do not use brokers.
Read also carefully in main page an article with title "some useful advices".
For any further help post here or send P.M.

Default Thanx

Thank you for your information, I have decided to take some time and investigate them, something is a little fishy though because now they are talking ONLY about another swiss bank, and nothing about CS. If anything is wrong with them I will let u know.

We are all here to help each other.
By the way ex Vice-President of Credit Swiss First Boston is an old friend and he informed me that they have no brokers in your country.
