Don't be confused. It is clear that this mail is scam. If you post the mail you received according posting instructions (including sender's e-mail with full headers) it is easy to locate where comes from and if the sender is already in any scam database.

I received the same mails and i was really annoyed when i opened my hotmail and see that there are few messages coming from sender not known to me and everything that was written there were all scam.

Hello Anabela and welcome to 419legal. YES this is a scam! there is no such lottery as BRITISH NATIONAL LOTTERY.

The golden rule applies, if you did NOT buy a ticket then you cannot win a lottery!
