Default Has Anyone Received The Italian Superenalotto Email

Hi Everyone

I am new to this site. I would like to know if anyone has recently received the Italian Supernalotto 2007 email. I receive so many of these scam emails on a daily basis that I am sick of it. I want it to stop.

The problem for me is that these places are sending this scam spam email to my work email address so I can't change my email address. My employer just said that I should just delete the email, but on some days I get about 50 to 100 spam emails. Besides all the scam lotto emails I get emails concerning the purchase of viagra, et cetera.

Has anyone been able to get this to stop?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Default To answer your question

I have also received those e-mails for the Italian SuperLotto. I actually recieve a total of 2 - 5 scam letters a day. I changed my e-mail address but they kept coming to the new one to. Unfortunately they have software that steals e-mail addresses and thats how they get your e-mail in the first place. So unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about that. But, what you can do is copy and paste the e-mail, paste it in this sight and if you want to, to the international police contact that you can find on this site. If you copy and paste it here then someone else who gets the same e-mail that doesn't know any better and will do a search on the bank or any other content in the e-mail, this site will come up and it may save them from losing a lot of money. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me.

Jen

Default SuperEnalotto E-Promotion Scam

I received a copy of the Italian SuperLotto scam today.
But my post actually covers ALL Spam and Scams.

I have begun taking a minute to forward to the authorities, with full header, every piece of spam I receive. As a result, it has been reduced nearly to zero. You would not believe the e-mail accounts of scammers/spammers I have gotten closed by servers!

I wanted to include the e-mail addresses to use but this site will not allow me as a new member. (Grrrrrr!) I will try to fake it. Here at the addresses:

spam at uce. dot ov
phishing-report at us-cert dot gov
phishing at fcfcu dot com

Include also a cc to the server listed anywhere in the full header and/or the e-mail in this format: abuse at server'sname dot com

If you don't know how to see full headers in your e-mail program Google it and get a tutorial.Forwarded spam/scams etc MUST include these.

It sounds like some of the email you are getting is obvious SPAM - the viagra ones - usually standard junk mail filters you get download/purchase will stop the majority of these. None of perfect and of course you can get the odd false positive, but good junk filers should almost eradicate 100% of obvious spam emails. If viagra emails are still getting through, then your either not using not using a junk filter or the one you are using needs to be retired.

software that steals email? Not sure about that... if you have malware on your computer then they can use software to obtain your email address, in which case the spam email should be the lesser of your problems.

the only other way they can get your email is
- through a phishing attack
- you enter it into a dodgy website
- someone gives them your email. credible companies will have privacy policies forbidding them to pass emails on.

changing your email should stop spam attacks. atleast for a while.
