I have received a page stating that I have won $2087.00 from "freelotto.com" then on following the link to receive my win I was asked for personal information then directed to a list that stated I (by name) had won $1000,000.00.
The site is registered to: PlasmaNet, Inc 420 Lexington Ave Suite 2435 New York, NY 10170 US I personally am sick of this stuff! I am considering sending the company a Notice of Demand for the money as I believe Pursuant to the Common Law the site should constitute a legally binding agreement to send me this money. Has anyone else out there anyone else has received this scam? I would also like to know if there has ever been a class action against one of these companies! It would be a great way to discourage these scammers if there was a real possibility they would have to make good on their deceitful promises. |

@firehawk777. Welcome to 419 legal. I too share your anger about how the scammers cheat people out if their money!
Before you take any action, are you sure that the company you are after is the right company? Many times the scammers use the details (usually with different phone numbers) of a genuine company without their permission, to lend credibility to their scams ! You could find yourself chasing a company that is also a victim of this scammer! A scammer will usually not give out his real life name or details and will use fake names and emails etc. You can get a lot of information about them by using a google search , just type in their details and see what you find. you can try PlasmaNet, Inc 420 Lexington Ave Suite 2435 New York, NY 10170 US or " PlasmaNet, Inc" or " PlasmaNet, Inc scam " etc Or you can type in the phone numbers you have received from them . Good luck with tracking them down.
