I replied (all the time thinking it is probably rubbish) but £2,580,000 does look good doesn't it!

I searched the internet for irish promo and scams, but couldnt find anything.
so I e-mailed hammon slater, stating that I was wary to give out any details.
He replied, with a professional looking e-mail stating that the whole thing is real etc. I sent some info - then received an e-mail stating:

Your payments have been released.
We are glad to say: we have finished the transfer of your funds to the Finance Firm. Please, contact the corresponding Finance Firm responsible for the transfer of funds to you with the following details: grandeclarke(webaddress).

followed by another e-mail from the finance firm:

Dear Customer,

Welcome to Grand de Clarke Investment Finance Plc! We are most honoured to
be at your service. We received your mail and also, got a note from the
Organisation and it's correspondents on the transfer of your funds to you.

this, simply go to our website at: (granddeclarkewebaddress) . When you are

REGISTER. Supply your details needed to open an account with us. When you
are done, simply click "submit". Your account will be setup and you

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok - now the alarm bells are definately ringing.
I searched for grandeclarke and found a link to this site which explains that grandeclarke are listed as a fake bank, and the following message:

WARNING: Please be aware that the fake banks, lotteries and companies on this list are used by dangerous criminals. We don't encourage anyone to engage in any form of communications with them. If you chose to communicate with them, for whatever reasons, you will be doing so at your own risk.

This is how I found this website. Thankyou for stopping me in my dumb tracks! Now, what should I do?
My guess is leave well alone!!!
