Dear GunslingerNW

To get refund from a legal company you must have
a) contract
b) reason to refund according the terms of contract.

To get refund from a scam is immposible even if authorities find him after your sue against him. Yoy may feel even if he will be arrested and go to jail.

If you were suggesting attempting to get a refund from a 419 scammer or a check fraud artist I would agree with you that it is impossible to get a refund.

On the other hand I'm talking about companies advertising so called business opportunities that are nothing more than selling you worthless information for a membership fee or selling you worthless information in the form of a marketing package IE... printed materials, e books, software etc... Most of these type of scammers operate as licensed businesses even though many of them operate in violation of U.S. Federal trade commission regulations on marketing practices and use highly misleading information to sell their product. Most of them use billing services such as Clickbank or Esellerate to do their billing if they are selling their product online such as through Paypal. It is possible to get refunds from these type of scammers by going to their billing service and requesting the refund from them directly. In fact many of these billing services will drop the scammers account once they have recieved enough refund requests and complaints regarding a scammer.

Okay I've just discovered that Dataentrybusiness.com uses esellerate as their billing company. Esellerate is usually very cooperative in issueing refunds to people who have been scammed by these data entry websites. Here's what I would suggest in getting your refund. Contact support@esellerate.net by email with a request for your refund. If you paid by paypal go to your paypal account and in the transaction to esellerate click on "Details" and copy the transaction invoice number you will need this to get your refund. Next go to the Data Entry Business website and copy the details of their money back refund policy and paste it into your email to esellerate including a link to that website. It has been my experience that Esellerate is very prompt in issueing refunds from these Data Entry Scammers who do their billing through them.

Many of these Data Entry Scammers were using Clickbank as their billing company. As the result of the large numbers of refund requests from people who had been scammed and which Clickbank honors " The refund requests" Clickbank will no longer advertise data entry products on their site nor will they deal with billing accounts for data entry websites.
It looks like most of these Data Entry scammers have moved over to Esellerate as their billing company . Lets hope that Esellerate will soon follow Clickbanks lead and drop the accounts of these data entry scams.

Hello All:
I am new here and I am glad that I found this site. There is alot of helpfull information. I was wondering if anyone has heard of the following 2 sites and if this is a scam:
Data Entry Work : Earn $500 Daily Data Entry Work At Home!
The Online Businesses from Online Business Systems

I am not sure if the onlinebusinesses one is or not and if not, does anyone have any information as to what it entails?

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Christine

Dear Christine

Welcome to this forum.

The first link you mentioned is fraud and a sort investigation gave me the following
"" First Data Work at Home Data Entry Work : Earn $500 Daily Data Entry Work At Home! - ScamFraudAlert- Submitted: 1/31/2007 8:51:39 AM Modified: 1/31/2007 8:52:00 AM DataEntryBusiness.comDataEntryBusiness ripped off my credit card and then made it.
First Data Work at Home www.BigPayWork.com - ScamFraudAlert - 99k- "" .

About the second link you mentioned is redirecting to ""smiley.smileycentral.com"" which is a download center for free smileys and has nothing to do with the title of bussiness.

Thank you for the reply. I checked out the second link The Online Businesses from Online Business Systems
and it goes to their page. I am not sure why it did not work for you. If you do not mind and if its not too much trouble, would you mind checking it again. Again, thank you so much for your helpful information. Trying to find a home business site is very hard to do it seem.

Sincerely,
Christine

Dear Christine

"Online Business Systems" is not a scam (or can say a scam but not the typical scam in the sense).
Because they DO send you product to try and sell.
However they charge you $45 for an information package and you pay $299 for the materials to become a distributor.
If you want to become a "Herbalife" distributor, Go to Home: Herbalife to find out all the info you need.
Plus please beware that it is possilble you'll lose more money than you'll earn in this kind business.
AFAIK you need a lot of efforts to sell the product.
