Note:
means a give away in the scamI have recently recieved a email, from "From: "NatWest Bank" <auto_mail.id8228818-1771723NOF@natwest.co.uk> Subject: Notice to all customers." The contents of the email are as follows: "Dear NatWest Bank customer, We have implemented security measures consistent with our internal information security practices to help us keep your information secure. These measures include technical and procedural steps to protect your data from misuse, access or disclosure, loss, alteration or destruction. One of these security measures is NOF (NatWest Online Form) to help us to keep your personal and banking data up to date. You should complete NOF on a regular basis. Please complete NOF using the link below: (Link)NatWest Online Form(Link) NatWest Automated Mail Service. Please do not respond to this mail." The link then takes you to the following website, i have underlined the first give away. " http://<u>online.natwest.com.accerio...okieid=6875870"It asks for your standard details PLUS your pin, and passwordIt is safe to click the link, but i highly suspect that filling in the form will result in your bank being emptied. It is a well done fraud, but it has it's faults. Please warn any natwest user you know. |
