Its good to read your feedback. I always have ideas and recently I came up with a simple yet very commercial idea and like to translate that into a marketable product. I dnot understand that unlike other companies, InventorHome gets a % of the sale then why they would not take care of their client.?
I would like to ask you, what other companies are there one can trust and work with? I would greatly appreciate your response. |

@Invention101. you could contact the Chinese consulate in your area and they should be able to give you a list of reliable companies. It is VERY doubtful that you will find what you want on the internet without a lot if due diligence.

Been doing some research on some Invention/Patent companies. I have an idea and looking for help from one of these to get started. I was working with "Davison Design" and found that they had a law suit against them in which they lost and are rated "F" with the BBB.
I then found a better company "Invention Home" that has an "A" rating from the BBB are hardly any complaints compared to Davison. I haven't paid either any money yet, but want to get started and really thinking about Invention Home. Any further thoughts on these two companies?? And now that I decided not to use another company how much is true that the old one would steal my idea??? Thanks, Sarah |

DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY. PLEASE. YOU WILL NOT GET ANYTHING FOR IT.
Look, when you have a great idea or product, maybe one that is even selling for you at first, you are gung-ho and over exuberant. Stop, step back, take a breath and dont do what I did. I contacted this company about 5 years ago and paid them about $850 for a provisional patent, marketing help and industry contact service. After a year of not a single company interested in my idea and some lame reports on their site, I wised up and hired a real patent attorney. First thing he said to me was "sorry you had to learn the hard way". They outsourced the provisional patent and it was poorly done. What I learned is that companies like Jacob Enterprises profit from the new inventor who thinks he or she has the next million-dollar idea but who hasnt done enough research or reading to know what is involved in getting a product to market. Through talks with my attorney, reading a couple books on the subject and researching online, I learned that these companies (and there are several out there) can actually do more harm than good for you. Bottom line, stay away. Better yet, call them and ask for a list of their patented, marketed and successful products. And some of the names and phone numbers of their happy clients. |
