The Nigerian guys doing the "Nokia Promo" fraud SMS is still very active.
There are specific trends. They operate in South Africa, Nigeria and UK mainly. They have now decided to remove the Nokia reference and just indicate that you have won money. Example of their latest content: CONTACT DR. CHARLES ANDERSON EMAIL: drcharlesanderson-at-natlotboard.org Tel:00447031745654 YOUR FUNDS ARE READY 4 TRANSFER.CONGRATS! |

Just got a version of this one today in Australia though still with the Nokia reference. I'm a newbie so can't use the AT symbol yet but it reads: "YOUR MOBILE NO. HAS BE AWARDED 500,000 IN THE ONGOING NOKIA MOBILE PROMO. REF No: N86 FOR CLAIM CALL +447045754969 & EMAIL: nokia-ukATSYMBOLeurope.com" Pity. I could use some cash. My mobile has been inactive for a few weeks and I was wondering if passing on my number to these phishers was a service provided by my phone company as a reward for low usage. Broke and paranoid! |

I think this might be the right place to share my views.
My cousin got a call that you have won 5000 yards plot. Do bring $50,000 with you. They mentioned any hilly side. My cousin was happy but when his parents come to know they forbade him to go. He called nokia care about that call, they laughed when they heard the story. I have one question. How one can get safe from these guys? |
