Thumbs up I Like It

i just wanted to leave a comment about how i personally think this site is a GOOD idea cause it lets people see the same exact e-mails they've been receiving and thinking about replying to. it DOES ask for volunteers to help, so instead of knocking this site, why don't you volunteer yourselves?! if you think you know any better, become a volunteer instead of putting this down. they're just trying to help people WITH OTHER PEOPLES HELP! i just joined and already, i like this site cause i can come on here and look at the posts to see if e-mails i've received are here. people like me have hope that these scams aren't scams, but at least now we have a site that we can check to find out if it is a scam. kudos to the person or persons who made this site. i personally thank you!

Default The Scammers Don't Care About Forum!

Hello to all,

I think that Scammers don't care much about this Forum. Their name is in each case different, than on the mail. If they would be really, then somebody could catch Prof. Charles Soludo from Lagos, Nigeria. Two years ago, he has sent me his Passport with photo (normally). Who knows, from what person is that photo? Who knows, does Charles Soludo exist at all?

I know only, that till now, Netherlands is the best example to do something about that. Before that, I have got almost every day mail, that I won by Lottery in Amsterdam. Now are very few mails from there.
Everything has its end and I hope that UK and Nigeria will do the same, one day.

Bobbie

Default Ms Bobbie

Ok so I am new to 419 legal.org and maybe I should not complain about other members, but where ever I go I am confronted by postings from MS BOBBIE. We all get scam mail and that is why so many of us join 419legal.org. I can see the sense in bringing the different scams to everyones attention, but I don't think that every forum needs to be flooded with postings from 1 member.

Ms Bobby
Posting the scam emails is not a bad thing in itself, many people may believe the email they received to be real and seeing the same email posted here could alert them to it being a scam and save them from being scammed.

Having said that may I suggest that the dedicated "Scam Letter Archives" forum on this site may be a better place to post them than the "Introductions" forum.

The only reason I suggest this is that many of those who are posting in the introductions section have just been scammed or are about to be and are looking for advice. If they post just before you post a whole list of scam emails their post is in danger of dropping back to page 2 and may be missed, leaving victims with no advice and potential victims to go ahead and get scammed as the lack of response gives them the false idea that the email they got was genuine.

I'm sure your posts are appreciated by those who have received a similar emails and then recognize it for the scam it is but the archive forms a data base of such scams and yours may be missed if posted elsewhere.
I am sorry for your bad experiences and hope you were not scammed too badly

Watchman
P.S Apologies to the moderators and admin if this advise is out of order, I wont be offended if you remove it.

Default Advice from members

Maybe it's time to consider recruiting a group of members who are willing to offer basic advice to people who have been caught up in scams. Obviously there would have to be a disclaimer that 419 legal was not legally responsible for any information that was given by it's members, but we could give basic advice as well as redirecting them to the specialist groups that offer support to victims of fraud.

I think this is a good idea. We should give some thoughts as to how this would be implemented.

If it werent for a private message from scammerslammer, I would have been scammed twice! He told me right away it was a scam. I was so reluctant to believe him. After looking through this site and some further research, I found out he was so right. I lost my money just before Xmas. So now I won't have money for gifts, what a fool I was to not to trust my instincts. This site has done nothing but great things for me. I have learned so much and gotten great support and advise.

Thanks!

I'm new to this site, and just tried posting a question to the forum. After I submitted it, I went to see how it showed up on the board, and found a reply quote from a scam bank in my post. I'm finding this site very confusing and very difficult to navigate. Help????
